They sold us a car without telling us they did not have the title. They sold us a car that was not clean but promised to get it to the standards of the 160 point checking system Kia promises. After selling us the car, they did not give us any selling paperwork. We went times to get it. They said the system was down and no word on the title yet. They finally said the car had been properly inspected and no issues were found. Well, we found several. Headlight cover severely scratched, paint chipped and a huge chunk of paint off of the hood, door handle on passenger side would not lock wby pushing the button on the handle. We were promised that these would be corrected.The 1st time we took it in, they kept it 10 days without giving us a loaner car and I had to call and find out they just hadn't gotten to it yet.No word on when it would be ready. When we did pick up the car and it appeared that it had been driven over 100 miles. Since I didn't take a picture of the odometer, I said nothing. The next time one of the 2 paint jobs were done. They advised that because a pinstripe was involved in the other, the awful toichuo would have to do. The 2nd time they had it for service it had 123 miles to empty. When we picked up the car 7 days later, it indicated less than 30, get gas on the panel. They will not fix the other items promised. They texted to say the handle had come in and to schedule an appointment. I called that day. Set an appointment for the next Wednesday and asked how long they'd have it so we could make car arrangements. I was told they'd get back to me that afternoon. The day before the scheduled appointment, I texted that we were canceling because we had not received a call about the time for the repair. They then said it would only take a few hours, but I had already made an appointment with another places to get it fixed and will.not be using or recommending anybody to use Courage Kia. More

Do not! Do not deal with this dealership if it comes to maintenance or anything recall related. Went to have an engine replacement done due to a catalytic co Do not deal with this dealership if it comes to maintenance or anything recall related. Went to have an engine replacement done due to a catalytic converter problem. Metal shavings in the exhaust. Even though the recall for that year Kia was for an engine rod bearing hole had been wrongly bored. But if it didn't have that problem. Where does the metal shavings come from? They agreed to let us have the catalytic converter replaced so our car could pass inspection. Even went so far as to price match another dealership because they overprice their part. 1800 dollars for a cat at courage...1500 dollars from another. Not to mention the second dealership went as far as saying they could get one for 800. Ummm...that wasn't mentioned at this dealership? No it was after all going to be their quote of 3800 for the cat, sensors (which didn't need to be done) and that wasn't including labor. So anyways....we did the work ourselves, even when promised by this dealership that it wouldn't affect the recall process. Oh and not to mention everyone that agreed to that got canned. Got rid of the check engine light ...so they come back with" Well if the check engine light isn't on then they won't touch it and the engine won't be replaced. Not to mention that when we got the light to go off we decided unfortunately to have them to do one of their free inspections for all NC Kias. We go up there. Asked for an inspection...they didn't ask for the registration right off as any other garage would. An hour later we find out we don't have any tail lights. They claim that would be a 200 dollar fix. Um ..excuse me for light bulbs? 16 dollar light bulbs at an AutoZone. Let's not forget that I live so close to this dealership that my engine can't even reach proper operating temperature and I did a walk around my car to make sure all the lights, horn, and everything was working beforehand. So they're telling me within a minute drive that my taillights went out? Sure. This dealership is full of xxxx mechanics that'll basically vandalize your car to make a buck ..several thousand if you're not lucky. Staff is rude and dismissive, and don't really like to be called out on their xx. I was kicked out when I was showing my disdain for the way I've been treated over my visits. I repeat...do not deal with this dealership...xxxx not only with maintenance. I wouldn't even buy a car from them. More

They screwed me I traded a vehicle in decemeber 2020 and they were supposed to be pay it off and here I am having to make two car payments because they have yet to pay off the vehicle that was traded in. Sneaky Service My wife had to have our vehicle towed to this dealer, a 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid because of a supposedly faulty safety plug in which needed to be replac My wife had to have our vehicle towed to this dealer, a 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid because of a supposedly faulty safety plug in which needed to be replaced and they didn't have. Since we were stuck here I had called other dealerships for the part in which the KIA should have done to source the part. I found multiple other KIA dealers with the part and they were all cheaper than this dealership was going to charger me for it. On top of this I found that the fuse inside the Safety Plug could be order and was only a $25 fuse (priced at another dealer) and not the entire safety plug they told us we need to replaced. They is a bulletin from KIA stating this for the vehicle. FROM KIA itself!!!! I will never trust this place with any vehicle. We brought our vehicle here for this expert KIA service and got shade tree mechanic, part changer service. More

Superb Service! I recently bought a Kia Sorento out of state before moving to NC. I had a few problems with it and issues getting an honest answer from other Kia loca I recently bought a Kia Sorento out of state before moving to NC. I had a few problems with it and issues getting an honest answer from other Kia locations. Once I moved to NC my neighbor referred me to Kia of Gastonia. Once I got there I was greeted by Morris the service manager. Morris was legitimately concerned about the issues I had been having and assured me he would personally ensure my vehicle was taken care of. Turns out I had an electrical short from a wire that was worn down and it took them some effort to find it. After my vehicle was serviced by Morris and his team, I have had no problems. Those guys are highly professional and they truly care. As long as I have this vehicle I will continue taking it to Kia of Gastonia because I know it will be done right and I won't get the run around like I seemed to get at other dealerships where I didn't actually purchase the vehicle. If you live in the area I urge you to go see Morris and his team because they are first class! More

Not happy!! Took my 2010 rio to be inspected and they failed it because they said it had cracks in the power steering belt. Called the dmv inspector and had him look at it and he said it was fine. He sent us back to Kia of Gastonia and again failed it! They then called the dmv inspector to come down just to tell him they weren't going to pass it! What it amounted to they wanted is to spend $150 for a belt I didn't need! I will never takes car back nor will I shop there again!! More

Myself and my husband were looking for a specific SUV and although we are very impressed with the Kia Lineup, we needed an SUV that had a couple of different needs then what the Kia Line offers, and the othe although we are very impressed with the Kia Lineup, we needed an SUV that had a couple of different needs then what the Kia Line offers, and the other part was that we are on a budget and needed to find something in our price range, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable and in a family friendly environment. We can't be more pleased with the purchase process, the staff, the vehicle, and the personal attention we were given by everyone at Kia of Gastonia !!!! If you are looking for a New or Pre-Owned vehicle of any kind at all, give Kia Of Gastonia an opportunity to earn your business. The biggest thing for us in the whole buying process was the fact that Kia Of Gastonia is under new Family Owned and Operated Ownership, and not a big Corporate Company who does not care about their customers, nor their employee's, to the big Corporations they are more concerned about selling someone a car anyway they can and not about treating them as they would want to be treated, and the employee's at Kia Of Gastonia know who you are by name whenever you come in whether it be for scheduled maintenance, or just to stop by to purchase an accessory. I just can't say enough about how awesome the entire staff at Kia Of Gastonia treated us, and knowing that the dealership is now Family Owned and Operated has made our dealings with them the absolute best experience we have ever had in regards to an Automobile Dealership!!! Thank you to everyone at Kia Of Gastonia !!!!! More
