This dealership provides convenient service and I’m sure they do their job well. Trust is key which I don't have at this service dept. You need to trust that dealership isn't going to recommend unnecessary work on your car solely to increase revenue. I am on my 5th Toyota but first You need to trust that dealership isn't going to recommend unnecessary work on your car solely to increase revenue. I am on my 5th Toyota but first from this dealership. For my prior 4 Toyotas never did the service dept recommend a single additional service that my cars needed during the Toyota care period, Most even replaced wiper blades annually for free which they did not have to do. And even after the Toyota Care period they were very honest in service recommendations so I knew if something was recommended it was actually needed. However, at my 10,000 mile service McCord recommended additional services not covered by Toyota Care - that the cabin filer be changed, engine filter changed, the HVAC be serviced and Nitrogen drain & fill tires. Over $400 in extras. Cabin and Engine filters should not need to be changed until 30K except in very unusual circumstances, Nitrogen drain & fill is not necessary and HVAC no way needs $235 of servicing on a 1 year old car. This is so disappointing and a warning to anyone that gets their car service to do their own checking and not trust dealer recommendations. More
