Terrible experience, I won’t ever go back to this dealership again, and I have always loved ford there work trucks have always been great but I’m honestly contemplating about getting rid of my truck dealership again, and I have always loved ford there work trucks have always been great but I’m honestly contemplating about getting rid of my truck for a different brand after this experience. Truck had a battery light on and was looked at by my local town mechanic who diagnosed a faulty top alternator, he replaced it but determined the pcm was having issues and at the very least needed a reset which required dealer software. So I scheduled the truck for a Wednesday and was dropped off on Wednesday and it wasn’t looked at till Friday. I explained what my local mechanic did and that he said it was a pcm issue. The dealer told me they don’t take anyone else’s diagnosis and needed to diagnose themselves. Dealer told me that the ford alternator that was just installed by my local mechanic was the issue, they had to order one and it would be a few days. When they got it I was told the part that showed up wasn’t the right part and I had to wait more days for them to get it. Finally they got it and told me that didn’t solve the issue and it was the pcm needed to be replaced (shocker as my local mechanic had already said that). 3 days later in the middle of a nor’easter dealer calls and says pcm is installed but they need a second key for programming. I live on an island how was I supposed to get them a key when FedEx and the local boats shutdown for the storm. So I had to have them make a new key. They finally did all that but still the battery light was on, they told me the second bottom alternator needed to be replaced. I said how is that possible? The truck went in to the dealer with the top alternator not working so how did the truck that was driven to the dealership get there if no alternator on the truck worked? Dealer couldn’t answer that question and gave me the excuse of the battery’s last a long time. So finally 2 weeks later they put the second alternator on and the light is gone. While it was there I also had an oil change and multi point inspection on the truck done. When the truck came home I noticed multiple lights were out on the vehicle including a headlight (multipoint inspection is supposed to look at lights). Then I look under the hood of the truck and a bracket for my switch n go wiring was never bolted back into place, it was just hanging. What I think happened is somehow in the changing/ testing of the pcm the dealer fried my second alternator (truck has 2) which also fried the half dozen lights around my truck. It was a terrible experience the only reason I didn’t freak out more was because the service manager was very patient when talking to me and trying to answer my questions. But I will never go back to colonial ford, I would rather travel farther away to a different ford dealer or just not buy a ford again. Trust in workmanship at colonial is non existent. And it always took multiple try’s on the phone to get through to my service agent to ask questions, until I got the service managers number then it was a little faster of a response. More

we have 4 fords and this is the first time at colonial ford . All i can say is i should have been coming here for years , anthony was great . i have used 5 other ford dealers in the last 43 years in busin ford . All i can say is i should have been coming here for years , anthony was great . i have used 5 other ford dealers in the last 43 years in business and they were all useless for service , these guys kept me informed every day and were very professional . i will be back there from now on . I have enough problems runing a business every day . now i have one less thank you Carl More
