The Truck Service Center customer vehicle parking issue has improved. One issue of concern that creates a vehicle repair backlog is a lack of Drivability Techs to diagnose vehicle codes then route vehicle to specific tech/mechanics to perform require repairs. I realize that finding qualified techs to diagnose today's current computer driven vehicle components is difficult at best, but obtaining qualified ones would greatly enhance the routing of vehicles to the appropriate repair person.

I’m writing to share my recent experience with the service department at Downtown Ford, which left me concerned about their diagnostic practices and customer care. I brought in my Ford F-150 due to a check engine light and explained that the issue felt very similar to a problem I had several years ago, which had been resolved by replacing a fuel injector. After their inspection, they diagnosed a faulty fuel pressure sensor and quoted me a high price to replace it. Something didn’t feel right, so I decided to get a second opinion. The second mechanic quickly determined that the issue was indeed the fuel injector — exactly what I had originally mentioned. They fixed it promptly and at a much lower cost than what Downtown Ford was charging for the incorrect repair. I’m relieved I trusted my instincts and avoided unnecessary repairs and expenses. However, this situation could have easily cost me hundreds of dollars for a fix that wouldn’t have addressed the real problem. I believe customers should be able to trust that a certified dealership service center will conduct accurate diagnostics and take customer input seriously. I’m sharing this to help others who may be considering Downtown Ford for repairs. Always get a second opinion if something doesn’t seem right. I also hope this feedback encourages the dealership to improve diagnostic accuracy and communication with customers.

I bought my 24 maverick at FF and called to get a recall notice serviced. Aftera long wait I "ta;lked" to the service person. He could not find the records of my vehicle which I bought tere, nbot by phone number(they had called me), and not by VIN .... I could not get the service I needed ... I am still looking for a dealer to fix the recall notice.

My first contact with Downtown Ford of Sacramento was by text. I was contacted almost immediately by Dru Smith and we made an appointment. When my wife and I arrived, we were greeted at the door by Nathan. Nathan introduced us to Richard Pineda in sales. Richard was knowledgeable, informative and professional and you could tell he enjoyed his job. I explained that I was looking for a Maverick Hybrid. (one of the things we learned was that the wait period for the Maverick is over a year) So, we began to build my new pick-up on the computer. While doing so, we were shocked to learn that another customer had declined their Maverick and so it was offered to us. We were thrilled and happy that we would not have that long waiting period. Richard began the paperwork to purchase the truck. This was truly the best experience that we have EVER had purchasing a vehicle ANYWHERE. NO HIGH-PRESSURE SALES. Everyone sincerely had our best interest at heart and treated us like family. Richard patiently answered all our questions and was extremely knowledgeable. He explained all the intricacies of our new vehicle. I would highly recommend Downtown Ford of Sacramento to anyone. It will be the best auto-purchasing experience that you can have.
