⚠️ Warning for anyone buying from BMW of Birmingham - B. Lucille Neegan

⚠️ Warning for anyone buying from BMW of Birmingham (Irondale): I’m posting on behalf of someone (“Bob”) who trusted this dealership and ended up with a bad experience. If you’re not fluent in English or new to car buying, be extra careful here. What happened: The sales team rushed the entire process. Promised to explain paperwork after signing (they never did). GAP insurance wasn’t offered or explained — even when asked. Was forced to pay for extras like dent coverage and PermaPlate without clear consent. When “Bob” asked questions, one of the finance reps (Nauman Rabbani) accused him of recording — very suspicious behavior. After the sale, the salesperson (Erick Fitzpatrick) ignored calls and even made threats instead of helping. Key names involved: Erick Fitzpatrick (Sales), Donna Daniel (Sales/Lease Rep), Kaleb Redmond (GM), Eric & Nauman Rabbani, Pinak & Pedro (Customer Relations/Finance). Bottom line: They take advantage of buyers who don’t fully understand the process. Don’t sign anything until you’ve read every line — and if they rush you, walk away.

Since Serra Kia of Trussville isn't an option ill leave - jay

Since Serra Kia of Trussville isn't an option ill leave it here and hopefully someone can straighten them out. I am extremely disappointed with Serra Kia of Trussville, and at this point I’m leaving this review because I cannot get anyone at the dealership to return my calls. When I purchased my used 2020 Ford Expedition, I made it VERY clear during negotiations that I would only make the deal if a powertrain warranty was included. I have the text messages from the salesman to prove it. When we finalized the numbers, the salesman specifically told me in writing: “That's with your lifetime Powertrain warranty and delivery to you.” There was nothing vague about that statement. The lifetime powertrain warranty was represented to me as part of the deal. Now that I am trying to get information about that warranty, I’m being told that I apparently do not have it. Even more frustrating is trying to get someone at Serra Kia to actually address the situation. I have called multiple times and have been transferred to different departments, only to reach voicemail. I leave messages. No one calls me back. I call again, get transferred again, and the same thing happens. I live several hours away, so much of this purchase was handled remotely. That makes it even more important that I was able to rely on what the dealership and its salesman told me in writing. I’m not asking for anything unreasonable. I want Serra Kia to explain why I was explicitly told that my final deal included a “lifetime Powertrain warranty,” but I am now being told otherwise. If there is an explanation, CALL ME and explain it. I would much rather resolve this directly with the dealership than through a Google review, but after repeated calls and voicemails with no response, I’m running out of ways to get someone’s attention. Serra Kia: I have the text messages. I have the exact wording your salesman used included in this review. Please have someone with the authority to address this issue contact me. Jay

I’d leave no stars if I could. - blgerbec

I’d leave no stars if I could. In our combined 100 years of car shopping, this is the slimiest dealership we’ve ever run across. Unethical doesn’t do it justice. Was told they were getting the car we wanted and it was just up the road. Sat there watching the parking lot for hours only to find out it was somewhere in Florida and they weren’t getting it until we agreed to buy it. Nothing but lie after lie. They pulled a bait and switch on us. We had been negotiating on an AWD. After we got home, we discovered we had a FWD. Contacted our salesperson and he said he’d do everything in his power to make it right. They have refused to make it right. I got a survey and lo and behold, they had filled it out with excellent marks and forged my signature. I could go on because there was so much dishonesty. Avoid this place like the plaque. we won’t go back for any service work. we will make the drive to go elsewhere.

I've never been treated so rudely, felt so scammed, or - Arlene

I've never been treated so rudely, felt so scammed, or had a worse experience with a dealership. The extended platinum warranty I purchased a year ago on a new KIA Forte was totally worthless. The service department claimed it was my fault that the car was damaged, however, they couldn't show any damage. They "fixed" the car, and $1800 out-of-pocket later, it still had the same problem. They claimed it was a software issue. Why wasn't that checked in the beginning? I bet it would have saved me a ton of money. Also, they refused to put gas in the loner vehicle that I had to have when they "re-fixed" the car. Never again!

I conducted several hours worth of research and searching... - SW2021Forester

I conducted several hours worth of research and searching online for pricing, dealer reviews and sales rep reviews when looking to buy a new Subaru Forester. I watched a lot of videos on how to negotiate the deal and what "scams" and "trickery" to avoid. After conducting that and having years of experience buying elsewhere I can truly say this is the most professional, courteous, transparent, and friendly dealership I have EVER been to. I can not recommend Tabor Cleberg enough as a honest salesmen who made this experience memorable and worthwhile. Want a Subaru? GO TO MONTGOMERY SUBARU!
