Dishonest, Predatory, and Completely Unethical – Avoid East Charlotte Nissan My experience with East Charlotte Nissan was shockingly deceptive from start to finish. I purchased a 2024 Nissan Kicks on May 8, 2026, and what should have been a straightforward transaction quickly turned into one of the most unethical dealership encounters I’ve ever had. To begin with, the salesperson verbally promised me a “3‑day, 300‑mile return policy” to pressure me into signing. This policy does not exist. I relied on that promise when agreeing to the purchase, only to find out afterwards that it was completely fabricated. That alone is unacceptable. But it gets worse. Shortly after the purchase, I experienced a sudden change in my employment status that directly affected my ability to qualify for the financing. I immediately notified both the lender and the dealership. Instead of acting responsibly under a conditional delivery agreement, East Charlotte Nissan rushed to process and fund the loan within just 3 hours of the next business day—despite being told the financial information was no longer accurate. It’s hard to interpret that as anything other than a deliberate attempt to avoid having to unwind the transaction. I wanted to return the vehicle in perfect condition with all keys and documents, and requested that the deal be voided. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the dealership made the process unnecessarily difficult and dismissive. Between the false return-policy promise, the high-pressure tactics, the intentional rush to force a loan through, and the attempt to charge me lot fees just to return the car, East Charlotte Nissan has shown a complete disregard for honesty, ethics, and basic consumer protection. I am now filing formal complaints with the North Carolina Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, the DMV Dealer Licensing Board, and Nissan North America. If you value transparency, integrity, or even the bare minimum of ethical behavior, do not buy from East Charlotte Nissan. There are plenty of dealerships in Charlotte that don’t rely on deception and predatory tactics to make a sale.

I never write reviews, but did want to give this place the credit they deserve. I worked with Rock Hill Nissan to help my daughter buy her first car. I negotiate pretty hard and also am pretty strict about privacy and credit inquiries so have some tighter rules I operate by. This place was very respectful of that which I appreciate. We also had to redo some paperwork that was our fault and they worked with us being very courteous and patient throughout the process. Every person we talked to starting from sales, finance, back-end administration and through management was a class act. I’d buy another car from this place in a heartbeat.

I cannot say enough great things about the team at Flow Nissan, especially Robyn, the General Manager. She spent over 4 hours working with us to make sure my elderly aunt was able to get the car she wanted. What really stood out was that Robyn didn’t just treat this like a sale she actually listened and cared about what my aunt has been through after losing her husband and recently totaling her car. Robyn worked incredibly hard and kept us informed the entire time. We were in the dealership until almost 9 PM, but it was completely worth it because we walked out with the exact car my aunt wanted. Seeing the smile on her face meant everything honestly, I haven’t seen her smile like that in over 8 years. Robyn, thank you so much. The way you celebrated with us at the end felt like your own family member was getting a car. You’re the best and definitely deserve a promotion just saying! I also want to give a huge shout out to Kelly Monroe, the salesman. He was absolutely awesome and made sure my aunt was able to sit in multiple vehicles so she could find the one that felt right. It was hot and sunny the day we came, but Kelly never rushed us. He stayed patient and consistent, making sure my aunt could look at and touch every vehicle she was interested in. And finally, Luke, the Finance Manager, was fantastic as well. He walked us through the warranty packages that actually made sense for my aunt, instead of just trying to sell everything. That honesty and transparency meant a lot. The entire team was amazing, and I would absolutely drive back to this dealership for any future car needs. And just FYI… I’ll be back one day for a **Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Scat Pack 😄 I know it’s a nissan dealer, but if y’all get one let me know. Another thing worth mentioning this was the first and only dealership we visited, and we didn’t need to go anywhere else. January 19, 2026 My wife and I were looking for a Nissan Pathfinder Platinum with captain’s chairs. I found two listed online at Monroe Nissan—one with captain’s chairs and one without—so we decided to stop by in person. We arrived around 6:15 PM and walked into the showroom. There were several vehicles on the floor, but no Pathfinders. After standing in the showroom for 5–10 minutes without being acknowledged by anyone, we went outside to try to locate the Pathfinders ourselves. We spent another 15 minutes outside with no assistance, and we still could not access or see the vehicles we came to look at. We eventually walked back to our car and left. This was, without question, the worst dealership experience I have ever had. While I can’t say for certain, there appeared to be a salesperson at the desk on his phone the entire time we were there, despite customers walking around unassisted. We came ready to look seriously at a Pathfinder Platinum, but the complete lack of customer service ensured we took our business elsewhere. We will be continuing our search with a dealership that values customers and is willing to help.

With a bit of turmoil from a 3hr commute to get a sir we’re not going to be able to make this deal work thanks for visiting us comment after I was told the deal would be very possible and then told me I was mistaken on my conversation earlier on the phone before my lengthy travel from emotionless Brandon. No sorry we couldn’t do the deal, or sorry for your long commute back, no remorse or anything from Brandon. So I grabbed my keys and headed back home another hour and half. Salesman Harley called me apologized for my experience and came in with understanding and respect, She realized I wasn’t happy and said on the phone I will do whatever I can to have your business and make your experience better. Later in the day Tyler my internet specialist at dealership called and said I talked with Harley. I will make your deal happen. Few minutes later I get the call come pick up your new truck. Obviously i’m excited now I am. Unfortunately I couldn’t do the commute again for a couple days, he says it’s on hold for you I’ll also I’ll fill up your truck and detail. E Ricki in finance was aware of my budget and was very efficient with my time and made a 2024 Ford Maverick part of my family. My experience with Mr. Drayton Washington and Robert Douglas, elite sales professional, at Nissan of Orangeburg was outstanding. After having two bad experiences at the dealerships located in my area, I gave a Nissan dealership(Orangeburg) another chance and they made up for previous experiences with other dealerships. I would definitely recommend buying from them and I plan to make all Nissan purchases at Nissan of Orangeburg, even with the hour drive each way. I can't say enough about the experiences. It went perfectly--without feeling a pascal of pressure and without experiencing any hassles.

I purchased my 2023 Rogue at this dealership. I have had ALL my service appoints here. Today in the mail, I received a recall notice stating my car needs immediate service for possible engine damage or potential failure! Grand Strand Nissan told me that I would I have to wait over 5 weeks to get an appointment! I SAID THAT WAS UNEXCEPTABLE. The Dealership refused any other option!!! What a horrible way to treat a loyal customer! I currently have two Rogues that I purchased and have serviced there. Mine and one for my granddaugher. I then called North Strand Nissan and was quickly given an appointment for this Wednesday! What a difference in customer service!!!

I had a very frustrating experience with this dealership while trying to purchase a vehicle. I was provided multiple out-the-door price quotes in writing, $34,572. Later, the price jumped to over $37,000. I was then told the vehicle could only be purchased for about $36,600 if I financed through the dealership, even though all information was already provided and correct. This was especially frustrating because I already had bank approval for financing and had arranged for someone to take time off work to help me complete the purchase before the pricing changed. Refusing to honor a written quote under these circumstances felt misleading and unprofessional. Only one employee admitted that the tax calculation for my state had been their mistake, which was a relief. However, the next person I spoke with didn’t seem to care and continued giving conflicting information. At one point, I was told taxes were “my responsibility,” despite being quoted out-the-door pricing. I also asked to speak with the general manager who supposedly approved the pricing, but was repeatedly told he was unavailable. During one conversation, a representative raised their voice, which was unprofessional. I was ready to purchase immediately if the quoted pricing had been honored. I would advise future customers to get a fully itemized out-the-door breakdown upfront and confirm all details before committing.
