My wife suggested I write a review as a token of appreciation. Due to Father time, I don’t change my own oil and had a bad time with 2 local shops so I made the drive to Lindsay for oil change. A guy I think named Chris checked me in. Very nice and explained the process perfectly so I was comfortable. Then I get a call from an upgrade department saying they saw my truck in th garage and want to buy it as trade in since they saw how well it was kept. Was skeptical but said what the heck make an offer. Upgrade Guy found me in waiting area and was transparent and not pushy. I asked why they want to buy a truck with high milage. He said they are expanding their used car inventory + do business w/ highway repair+contractors from out of state. They come here for a temp job and will need a truck but dont want to buy new-expensive one when they wont need it once job is done. Lindsay sells them older high mileage truck and mine was perfect for this+ I would get a great deal on a new one. Made sense to me. The service worker was great making me comfortable but then I hit it off with upgrade guy even if I wasn't 100% on buying new truck. Told him I was not from the area but we had that in common. Talked about Manassas and I’m a history buff so I appreciate he suggested visiting Manassas battlefield museum. We Talked history, the civil war and cars+ family and I almost forgot why I was there in the first place.I felt like I was in the American Legion hall just chatting with friends and not in a dealership. I said ok lets see this new truck. I wanted to work with the guy and at least give him a chance even if I wasn’t sure about buying a new truck yet.
He came back with a salesman forget his name but will edit review when I check papers in file cabinet. He was polite and charismatic again not pushy, not your typical salesman tone so it felt like I was buying from a friend. He handled the test drive+questions with honestly so it felt like he was working for me to get a truck I loved+afford. At this point I had 3 encounters with 3 employees who were all professionals+made me comfortable so I was in a good mood+laughing that I ended up buying the new RAM but based off the circumstances they described I actually felt like it was in my best interest to take advantage of this upgrade program. My wife said I thought you were only getting oil change? I said yes the oil changed+transmission+engine+wheels and body changed ha. Finance portion was tad nerve-racking but we got through it. The sales guy was amazing at his job can’t say enough good things about him.A+
EDIT+UPDATE: Made this weeks ago but last week the upgrade guy called me to check in+see how I like the truck+reminder to come back for oil change. He Asked about family+grandkids I mentioned in passing so I appreciated that he remembered everything+names and future plans. That’s why I’m writing a review because I have to say this call stuck with me+made me feel like I was more than just a number to them.Deal was done they got paid.I already agreed to come back for oil change so the call had no ulterior motive which is rare in sales. This simple phone call is why when my granddaughter got her license+needed a car,I made sure my son-in-law went to Lindsay. He got her a Jeep Compass and love it. My grandson is due for a car once he passes road test next month. We will go to Lindsay. My wife has a Subaru with a lease up in 4 months and we will be back at Lindsay for a GrandCheroke. To local businesses in the area!!! This is how you get 3 generations of loyal customers who will buy from you+come back for maintenance . All 3 employees spoke to me with respect and interest beyond my wallet with charisma. Getting that random phone call to see how I was doing leading to a a genuine conversation was not something you expect from a dealership so I applaud Lindsay for being different. Also I LOVE MY RAM, grand-daughter loves her Compass and grandson will love his charger and wife will love her Jeep!
