I booked an appointment for standard service - oil change/tire rotation a few days in advance. Two days before the appointment I ran over a dead animal, and a lot of water (I'm reasonably sure) began dripping underneath the car.
I called that day to see if I could bring the car for them to take a quick look underneath to see if a hose or something just got knocked loose. If it was a bigger problem I'd leave the car. Answer - they don't take same day appointments.
I said, OK, I have a service appointment on Friday I'll drive my other car, can someone look at this car, a 2018 Sonata Limited, on Friday. They said yes...so, I went to drop the car off on Friday morning and the service advisor said that I would need to make a separate diagnostic appointment. I asked, you can't check to see if there is a loose hose or to see the source of a leak underneath the car? He said no, I would have to make a separate diagnostic appointment. But they would do a standard check of the car when they changed the oil and rotated the tires.
I also had the volume-up button on the steering wheel stop working. I asked if they could give me an estimate to fix it or the cost of the part for me to do it myself, if it's not under warranty. First, this is not something that should fail on a 5-year-old car, but apparently is a common problem for 2018 Sonatas. They said, no, I would have to make a separate appointment. I asked the advisor why the person who took my call before did not tell me that? That person said that someone could look at it when I brought my car in for service. The advisor simply stated they needed a diagnostic technician and couldn't do it; I'd need to make a separate diagnostic appointment. He didn't offer to help me find an appointment, to see what's available, to see what he could do. In fact, he didn't act like he wanted to help me solve my issues at all.
I left and made an appointment elsewhere...ZERO issues, incredibly helpful, squeezing me in on a Saturday. If Hyundai of Trenton does not have technicians that are trained enough to find the source of a possible water leak underneath my car, then I don't trust them to change the oil, rotate the tires, or diagnose my brakes when the tires are off either. Maybe the source of the water was as simple as the clogged AC drain that maybe got unclogged. Maybe it'll turn out to be something more serious. Nevertheless, I will never bring my cars there for service again.
In addition, we have two open leased vehicles. The lack of quality local service is going to seriously influence our decision whether or not to purchase these cars at the end of the lease. Are you seeing this sales department?
This dealership needs to seriously take a look at how they operate and function. Everyone needs to be on the same page, so customers are clearly and properly informed. Our time is important and we do not appreciate having it wasted. When it was Davis Hyundai our experience was somewhat better. It is unfortunate that the situation at this dealership since becoming Hyundai of Trenton has devolved to where it is currently.

I was trying to write a new review for the most incredible experience I’ve ever had buying a car. I wish I could give Liberty Hyundai 10 stars but they only have five stars. I just traded in my old Kona for an Fabulous new Tucson TANYA ROMAO is the most incredible sales person. I can’t tell you how many car purchases and l leases I’ve been involved in and I have never had an experience go so smoothly. I kept on expecting the normal to happen…. Playing games at the end…, You know, right? Not with Tanya. She’s absolutely the most professional, respectful, responsive , honest, and most importantly, “play no games” sales person I’ve ever dealt with. I just traded in my Kona and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Then I got to work with Dylan, who is now the finance manager. What an incredibly great young man. The whole transaction was beyond belief. I knew exactly what I was going to pay when I got there, and there were no quibbles about anything. I can’t say enough about them. My fiance and I recently had the pleasure of working with Haley MacKenzie at Circle Hyundai. From the moment we stepped onto the lot, her warmth and professionalism stood out.
We are a family of 5. We have a teenage daughter, a growing pre-teen son, and a disabled daughter. Due to our daughgers disability she will need to be in a car seat for the foreseeable future. This has proven to complicate our comfort while traveling. Especially since we often drive back and forth to Florida to visit our family. Having a 3rd row vehicle was imperative to us. We also preferred a vehicle with top of the line safety ratings. We decided that the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe not only met, but exceeded all of our families expectations. This SUV is remarkable!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY !!! Called the dealership spoke to Destiny to verify they had the 2024 Sante Fe in the showroom Not only did she tell me yes that had them in, but in fact they had four of them in stock. DROVE AN HOUR TO THE DEALERSHIP !!!! to find out when I got there they actually had NONE IN STOCK!!! The sale man said they didn't have them in but they had another model car to show me. BAIT AND SWITCH AT ITS FINEST. Then they had the audacity to call me and tell me as soon as they get them in they will give me a call. ARE YOU SERIOUS you just wasted two hours of my time driving back and forth and you think for a second I'm going to give you of my money.

My experience with the sales person, finance person and assorted others was terrible, and that's putting it mildly (and politely). The sales person is not knowledgable and very distracted with checking on kids and talking about things you're probably not interested in. BUYER BEWARE, make sure the sales person proves to you that every feature you want is actually on the car you buy. Sit in the car and go through EVERYTHING. The finance person was indifferent and disagreeable. BUYER BEWARE, before signing anything make sure you're shown what you are being charged for and what's being financed. Insist on it!! I was overcharged $2000 for an upsale item I had told the sales person I did not want but it was included in the price. Makes me wonder if it was an oversight or scam (and after dealing with them, I go with the latter). It took weeks to have the charge removed, BUYER BEWARE, do not let him convince you to "think about it", you can cancel it in two to three months if you don't want it. I cancelled the following day and it was a major headache getting it refunded. DO NOT LEAVE WITH YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU HAVE DOUBLE CHECKED EVERYTHING from features to financing. Once you sign on the dotted line and leave the dealership, the sales person and finance person will ghost you and even people who claim to be managers, up to the manager of the dealership, will be of no help. I wanted a Hyundai and unfortanely Fred Beans is the nearest dealer to me, I will never buy another car from them again. BUYER BEWARE. Note 1: I purposely did not name names, assume everybody there are like the people I encountered. It seems to be the culture there. Don't trust them and double check everything they do and say. And expect to be ghosted once the sale is made. Note 2: I was lowballed on the trade in but I expected to be and did a trade in for convenience.

This was the worst car-buying experience I ever had. It's tough to get the business manager Abe to give you straightforward information. I felt swindled. The interest rate advertised at .09% turned out to be 8.25% and there were never any clear answers. All the employees there seemed bored and not interested in being at work. I would avoid this dealership.

Regarding the service dept, I would stay away from the service advisor named Domenic, who lied to me to try to get me to not pursue warranty work, and also physically intimidated me. Very scary stuff.
