Very negative experience with the finance department at Rick Case Hyundai Plantation I want to share my experience during the process of purchasing and financing a vehicle at Rick Case Hyundai. Unfortunately, my experience with the finance manager Paulo Grandez was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Throughout the entire process, Paulo Grandez repeatedly tried to push additional finance products that I had clearly declined from the beginning. On several occasions he attempted to condition the deal by insisting those products “had to be included” in the contract. Because of this situation I had to review and sign three different versions of the contract, since products I had already rejected kept being added again. The most serious issue occurred when Paulo Grandez ran my credit with four different banks without any real need, even though I had clearly stated that the financing would be done through Hyundai Motor Finance. These multiple credit inquiries directly affected my credit score, which should never have happened since the financing option was already defined. This situation is even more frustrating considering my previous experience with the brand. I previously purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe 2024, which turned out to be defective and required a full transmission replacement. Later, I purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe 2025, which also developed transmission problems and eventually became a Lemon Law case. Because of this entire process I was left without my vehicle for approximately 47 days, which directly affected my work and daily activities. During that time I had to accept an inferior replacement vehicle. Despite all of this, I want to recognize two people who did act professionally. Sales Manager Nick Tagle was one of the few individuals who showed transparency, professionalism, and respect throughout this difficult situation. From the beginning he tried to handle the problem in the most honest and transparent way possible and made a genuine effort to help manage the situation and find a solution. I would also like to recognize sales representative Joel Beltrán, who was respectful, patient, and attentive during the entire process. If anyone decides to visit the Plantation location of Rick Case Hyundai, I recommend asking directly for Joel Beltrán, as he genuinely tries to help customers. Even though the transaction was eventually completed, my experience was very unpleasant. The final interest rate ended up being almost twice as high as the rate I had previously secured with another financial institution, but due to the complications related to the Lemon Law case, I felt practically forced to accept it. For all these reasons, I hope Hyundai Motor America reviews this situation and takes appropriate action regarding how Paulo Grandez handles customers, since this type of behavior damages customer trust and leaves a very negative impression of the Hyundai brand.

I would rate a 0 if I had the ability to. Brought my Ioniq 5 in because it stopped charging after a recall update. They said it was me and to upgrade my system at home. I did. Still didn't charge. Took it in again for a week - they said that I needed a charge point charger at home installed by an electrician. I did. Still didn't change. Chargepoint service told me it was the car. Took it back. They couldn't replicate the problem because they did not have a level 2 charger and refused to use the dealer provided charger. Told me to just go use their supercharger - which works, but its a pain to use that one and there's only 1 public one in the entire city. Even though Level 1, level 2, and Tesla chargers with adapter - all worked fine for 3 years, I was to accept that they just aren't an option for me anymore. I said it made the car worthless. How could I sell it to anyone when it couldn't charge. So they asked me to check multiple chargers and document it. I did. It's been in again now - for 3 weeks - still there- They finally tried to charge it on March 1st with the basic dealer provided charger after I begged them to try it-- it blew the fuses to half of their shop!! Instead of realizing the car had a problem- they said they had to order a new charger and would not check it at a level 2 charger until they received the new charger- which took 5 days. But that was Friday and it's Wednesday night. The car hasn't moved since March 2. Bottom line - I'm still waiting. And they don't have a loaner for me - just too busy. I would never use Jenkins again after them ignoring the problem multiple times. They could probably reinstall the update and I would be fine - but all I've gotten is a runaround. And this is with an 8 year warranty. What good is it when I have just 15,000 miles but their answer is that I have 1 public supercharger that I can use 10 miles away from home and no others in at least a 50 mile radius?? Warranty not honored, Issues ignored, technicians doing nothing and service advisers who blame the customer for the problem. No, I could not recommend them.
