This dealership engages in Bait and Switch and should be - santafe
This dealership engages in Bait and Switch and should be avoided. Also their online "Express Store" is bogus and the fake pricing is used to bait customers to come in person rather than actually doing an online purchase. Here's a little more on how their scam works and how disreputable they are:
When you go through online their "Express Store" you are given a detailed price and given the impression that this is an actual order made that they will be bound to. Unfortunately it is just a fake offer to entice people to come into the dealership in person so they can play the typical high pressure finance dept. games to get you into a more profitable deal for them than what they initially promised. When I used the Express Store to build an order, I immediately got a text from an employee asking me when I can come in to discuss the deal. Later I found out this employee was overseas and has no authority to make deals, these remote workers only function to entice people to come into the store in person. In any case, when I told him I would not come in person, I got a message from another employee, Romy Bhardwaj, who proceeded to tell me that they couldn't honor the express store deal I created because the car had already been sold. This is where I caught him in a lie because the car was actually in stock at their sister store in Cerritos and I called that day to confirm that it had NOT been sold - it was still on the lot! When I called him out on the lie he then said ok, they can sell me the car but the price was different from what was offered online because it has $3,000 extra in dealer installed options! After refusing to take that bait and lots of xxxxxxxx back and forth SMS and emails, he offered to sell me another similar car at a higher, but still acceptable price. I was willing to go ahead with the deal but I had some questions including why the dealership was charging $1,200 sales tax up front on a lease. When I asked him to explain this he simply stopped communicating with me all together. Interestingly, I went through almost the identical process when I tried it with their sister store McKenna VW in Cerritos. Same bait and switch, same overseas sales leads, same fake prices on the Express Store, and the sales person also stopped communication after I asked about the $1,200 up front tax on a lease. I think these dealers are not used to dealing with knowledgable buyers (especially online) and are only looking for gullible people to fall for their bait and switch routines and in-store games. CUSTOMER BEWARE!
