Juggling customers, processing payments, looking at cars, he had the parts guy assist me. Paul did all of that with a smile and most importantly I noticed was that the customers knew him by name! That says a lot his character. He’s very attentive. I have managed luxury property hotels and now the second largest transportation system in the nation. I know a manager when I see one. This review has less to do about the sales people at the dealership and more to do with the business practices relating to their pricing. Who knows if it ends up being approved. I absolutely did not buy a dealership and more to do with the business practices relating to their pricing. Who knows if it ends up being approved. I absolutely did not buy a car from this dealership after this experience. I know this vehicle price change tactic is becoming a little more common but the advertised price at Ziegler CDJR in Downers Grove is not the price of the vehicle, it seems it is the price to get you to come in. If you do not ask and insist that any unadvertised add ons/costs be disclosed right away, you will not find out until all of the discussions on price are complete. You agree on a price and then the paperwork or information comes and added is an unadvertised 1,695.00 onto the cost. Funniest part, it is for a LowJack system. Something you can have installed in your vehicle for less than half of what they are charging apparently. Better yet, a 50.00 airtag would perform the same job. In speaking with the salesman, I was told that it came straight from Ziegler himself, he doesn't care if they lose deals and it is non negotiable. He said something about it saving the owner money on his insurance. If that were the case he wouldn't be adding another 1,695.00 to the price at the last minute. The bottom line, you have to buy it if you want to buy the car. It is a joke and it may be legal but it, in my opinion, is certainly dishonest. Let me be clear, I am not talking about the sales persons, they do not make the rules and I feel bad for them. I am talking about the person who decided this is the way to do business. Again, my opinion but, if you think the pricing is justified and fair then do not spring it on people a the last second. Find another dealership, I did, One that is honest and upfront with their pricing because in my opinion, this one is NOT. More
