Go elsewhere. Larry was my salesman and he was fine throughout the process - up until AFTER he sold me the car.... To begin, there were a few things that stood out Larry was my salesman and he was fine throughout the process - up until AFTER he sold me the car.... To begin, there were a few things that stood out to me - and not in a good way - when working with this dealership. The car I wanted was listed online for almost $2,000 less than what it actually was going for (because I did not 'qualify' for all mandated discounts) - fine. Then there was an additional $900 'delivery fee' tacked onto the final bill that we were not aware of. When we questioned the financial associate he got a little short with us - as if WE were the ones in the wrong for asking what the heck that fee was! MOST dealerships include that fee in the final negotiated price of the car. That did not happen in this case. Pretty sneaky if you ask me.... So granted, these are likely practices of the dealership and not the salesman himself. But it was definitely a put-off. After I bought my car, the spare key was missing. Larry said he'd call me in a few days when he found it to let me know when I could pick it up. Well, I never heard from him. So over a 2 week span, I sent him an email, left him a voice message, and even emailed the sales manager to ask what the deal was. He apologized and stated that the service department would call me to set up an appointment to get a new one programmed. 3 days later, surprise! STILL NO CALL. I called the service department myself to schedule the xxxx appointment and finally have the spare key. It only took 2.5 weeks of me basically acting like a stage 5 clinger... It is pretty obvious that the moment he made the sale, I no longer existed. Just think of how POSITIVE this review would have been if he just did his job and called me back the first time. Dealerships are a dime a dozen, if you can, go elsewhere, or work with a different salesman. More
$55K on a Jeep and they still took advantage This was the WORST NEW Car Purchase Experience of my life. We were lied to by every person we felt with. From the Sales Rep., to the Sales Manager, This was the WORST NEW Car Purchase Experience of my life. We were lied to by every person we felt with. From the Sales Rep., to the Sales Manager, to the Finance Guy, to the GM. They lied and played dumb about recalls, manufacturing defects, delivery, to our title and our names being entered wrong or left off. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE- go to another dealership that is worthy of earning your business!!! More
Disappointed and disgusted consumer! This has been the worst experience in my life. I do not recommend this dealership. I will never purchase any type of vehicle ever again from Ziegler i This has been the worst experience in my life. I do not recommend this dealership. I will never purchase any type of vehicle ever again from Ziegler in Downers Grove. I purchased a car in 8/31 & it's been to the dealership twice and now I'm told I'll be without my car for another week. The service department dies not communicate with customers regarding issues or time frames. I'm beyond pissed and want my contract unwinded so I can go somewhere I can purchase with a peace of mind! The finance manager is the only person at this point trying to help! More
Classic lying dealers The dealers seem very friendly and like they actually care about you, but oh no. I went in a few months ago to purchase my first car. Larry, dealer I The dealers seem very friendly and like they actually care about you, but oh no. I went in a few months ago to purchase my first car. Larry, dealer I dealt with, seemed like a very nice man. LOL. He tacked on a $2200 warranty (so clever). I never spoke a word about extending or purchasing a warranty for my Jeep. Also the day I was purchasing my car we talked about the missing second key. He told us that it was turned in by the original owner but it got lost somewhere/somehow in the dealership and he said he would look and let us know if it was found. If not, we would get a brand new one. I assumed for free considering he never spoke about a price. I went in a month later to get the dent in my car fixed (also which he said would be so incredibly easy for their guy to get it out) but low and behold, nothing could be done to get the dent out from the previous owner. I also asked him about the key and he gave me a grand show and looked at me as though I was stupid. I do love my car, but I don't appreciate being swindled and lied to. Whenever my next car purchase will be, it will NOT be with this dealership. I highly recommend Carmax. Not Larry. More

Service department Brought my Jeep in on a Monday and was told it would be done on Tuesday. After not hearing from them I called and was told probably Friday maybe Satur Brought my Jeep in on a Monday and was told it would be done on Tuesday. After not hearing from them I called and was told probably Friday maybe Saturday. Again no call or update of any kind on Friday. So I started calling Saturday morning from 9:00am to 10:30am and finally got through. I was asked for my phone number so he could call me back after speaking to the tech. It's now Monday morning and I still haven't heard back. 5/4/15 Since the above review I was contacted by the manger which explained and rectified the lack of communication applicably. He was able to turn my once negative opinion about the service to a real positive one. I would have no problem recommending their service or going back myself. Most importantly I feel my Jeep was fixed properly and professionally. 5/5/15 More

Looking to get screwed by a dealer service department? Well then Zeigler is the place for you! Quoted $135 to replace a thermostat and flush coolant, then when I get up the receptionist to make payment, the total has mysteriously more than doubled. Ok... So you replaced a sensor that was obviously working and doing its job since it's the one that TOLD me I needed a thermostat? This isn't a normal service item either according to any other dealership I've spoken to. But wait, there's more! Not only did they perform unapproved work, they even took the time to mark ALL parts up over retail. This is one of THOSE dealerships where you have to second guess their parts pricing and call another dealership's parts department to keep them honest. So after calling the service writer on the discretions, I was told to talk to the service manager. So far that stroke hasn't been able to figure out how to use a telephone and express the decency of calling me back to explain their effort to bend me over. Seems he can't call Chrysler Customer Care back either. Ah, but no worries! I'm about to help them spend about three times what they jacked me out of on this job with an attorney- have fun with that one. PLENTY of other dealerships in the area, so do yourself a favor and avoid this one. Your stellar Yelp review is up next... More
