Love the feeling of being treated like a neighbor I live in the DFW area and wondered if it would be worth making the trip and if a "small town" dealer could compete with the competitive dealer market I live in the DFW area and wondered if it would be worth making the trip and if a "small town" dealer could compete with the competitive dealer market in DFW. Patriot had a car in inventory with the features I was looking for, and Dena helped from the first phone call all the way through delivery, never putting any pressure on me or using typical sales tactics. She was straightforward and honest, and felt like she was truly an advocate vs. just trying to sell a car. I also worked with / spoke to David R., Matt, and David C., along the way (since my bank was being slow to get a draft taken care of) and the whole team worked to make sure I felt like I was their neighbor, despite being for >120 miles away. And yes, in the end they ended up being very competitive. I've bought 10 Fords in the past 18 years, and Patriot will be my first go-to Ford dealer going forward. More

My name is William Cummins, my lovely and talented wife, Lisa, and I were giving some thought to purchasing a new Ford F150. You see, we own two F150s, seventeen and eighteen years old respectively, and while both are still very serviceable and in good shape and by that I mean the A/C still works in both and blows ice cold, they are showing their age. Repairs of both a minor and major variety are likely just around the corner. October thirtieth we began shopping in earnest and started online. While seemingly convenient it wasn't without it's hitch in the giddyup. That being sharing your contact information to get some pricing information. Stop me if you've heard this one, or continue reading and see if our experience has mirrored your own. It wasn't long before my phone was blowing up! Voice calls, voicemail, e-mails, and even text messages and not just one each but "follow-ups"! It was somewhat overwhelming trying to keep everyone and every dealer and every vehicle straight. This led to unavoidable miscommunication, misunderstandings and one truck sold out from underneath us at a nameless dealership in Norman that starts with L and, er, ends in s, but we're not mentioning any names here, and one up in the METRO that advertised a truck on AutoTrader but refused to sell us the truck! I felt like a big mouth bass going after that minnow bait and switched to a plastic lure instead! Let me tell you, gentle reader, I was plumb near ready to give up when it occurred to me that I knew a guy. A young man making a living as a Ford mechanic down in Purcell, America. Now, I hadn't given much thought to driving all that way because I live in very far northwest Oklahoma City. Why there's even a Ford dealership not too terribly far from me over yonder on the northwest expressway, another story for another day. I rang the young man up and told him what I was looking for, he said he felt like they had just what I needed and that he'd check and call me back. He did and asked if he could give my number to a salesperson. I agreed and soon Dena, called. We spoke just briefly but she sounded very professional, you know, she had that confidence that you and I have in our professional lives. I can tell you that I still wasn't enthused about making the long drive and I expressed that to her. She wasn't dismayed at all and wasn't pushy either like so many sales people I had talked with, but told me that if I made the drive it would be worth my while. I was in Norman, on the mile, and I told her I had a stop or two to make to look at a couple of trucks but told her I would be in touch either to say that I was on my way or not. Most pleasantly she replied, "Seeya when you get here". That kind of positivity and optimism is always what I am looking for in people and I kind of knew right then I was in for a bit of a long drive. Sure, I stopped and looked at two more trucks on my list, samey same, and I headed south out of town on I-35... I only shared this with you as part of this experience review to let you know that I was a serious buyer, a serious shopper and looking for a truck deal that was a good value. When I arrived at Patriot Ford I found the grounds clean and well maintained. I saw inventory and selection. I saw a service department that was active and efficient. Firstly I looked for and found the young man I spoke of earlier and it was truly wonderful to see him. We chatted for only a moment as he was busy but he took me inside to meet Dena. My first impression was professionalism. It was the way she carried herself and how she spoke. As we spent time together it became apparent that she was actually listening to me and interested in the details, my details not hers. She is knowledgeable and made suggestions, answered every question, was open and transparent and downright truly helpful! More than all of that she was patient and understanding for I can tell you that I might not have been in the best mood when I got there. She allowed me to examine and drive any vehicle, she ran the numbers on more than just a few as I narrowed the field by taking and sending pictures to my wife and then awaited her feedback. Ultimately, with Lisa's input, we chose a 2017 F150 XLT 4x4 Sport that was appointed exactly with what we were looking for and even a few things extra. The negotiation was fair and transparent and the price was right! I realize this isn't a normal, run-of-the-mill, type review, but let me say in my defense of the length that buying a new car for me is a very rare thing. This isn't something that we do even occasionally. For us buying a new car is rare. At fifty five this only my second new car purchase! I find the experience daunting! Except that Dena listened to my reservations, explained everything to my satisfaction, offered expertise and advice that I found invaluable! If you are shopping for a new vehicle I can recommend only one dealership and one salesperson... Patriot Ford, in Purcell, America and Dena Hudson! P.S. Okay...I'm scrolling down to complete the survey and they ask, "Could you say a little more?" I just blew Mountain Dew through my nose! More
