No Ka Oi! I was born and raised in Territorial Kailua, before Hawaii became a state so I try and keep all my business and money in Kailua whenever I can. When my wife and I decided to go shopping for her 'retirement car' a Plug-in Electric Hybrid, we narrowed the choices down to four different makes and models all on the Windward side. I had done some research online and made contact with Wayne Fukumoto via email to setup a visit and test drive, email is a great tool! We visited Windward Ford first because of the four dealerships I sent feelers out to, Wayne responded almost immediately . . . good job! After visiting with Wayne, and getting an idea of what kind of offers he had for our trade in and financing, my wife and I went to visit the other three dealerships (yes, all in one morning). My wife had her heart set on one of your competitors cars and the demo drive was great (happy to provide the information about our other choice if your review allows). We went back to see the FORD one last time to make our final decision and true to his word, Wayne "earned our business." Wayne gave us the best price for our trade in, Don Minnis gave us a great deal on financing, so good in fact that our credit union couldn't touch it! Don provided us with extended warranty options and finalized our paperwork and we drove home in our new Ford Fusion, Energi Titanium that evening! Can't say enough for Wayne and his down to earth approach to car sales. Being a "senior citizen" I've bought a few cars in my lifetime and I have to say that working with Wayne was the most painless experience I've ever had. He even gave us a price for the Ford we were looking at to take shopping with which in the past (we bought our last car in 2013) would never happen, talk about no pressure sales! Because we had to be at a dinner gathering, we had to leave before we were able to get the orientation and setup of the new car but Wayne made it a point to meet with us the next morning (Sunday) at opening and do the orientation and setup my wife with all the tech things like Bluetooth connection for the cellphone, seat adjustment and memory, etc. When my wife and I left the dealership we felt confident that if we needed any assistance, Wayne and the Ford team will be there for us. I'm hoping that when I'm ready to look for my retirement car, I can find something at Windward Ford! PS I can't remember the persons name or his title (he was very friendly and personable) but I had to play a tennis match in Kailua and didn't have time to run out and grab lunch (we were doing the paper work for the car sales) so this very nice gentleman was cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for the workers, cooked some up for me and my wife . . . Under staffed unable to keep scheduled commitments. not informing clients that there car was not worked on until 4 to 6 hours after drop off. Not just once but 3 times in a row for us. up charging cost on project that have been spec for parts and labor. They claim something was missed in the first inspection and the next tech found a problem with the job.Your techs must do the inspection right the first time, not a month later after the part comes in and the job is in progress. the list goes on.
