This was my first trip to the dealership. Damon and John were Great to work with! I was looking for a very specific vehicle and asked if Damon would keep an eye out for me. Two months passed and Damon cal were Great to work with! I was looking for a very specific vehicle and asked if Damon would keep an eye out for me. Two months passed and Damon called to let me know he had just the right truck- mileage, color, etc... It was the perfect fit. Great experience! Simple process! Enjoyed the service! Thank you. Purchased a new Tacoma from White River Toyota. I think I got a great price.Tom Spalding was my salesperson and he made me feel like he was working for me. We even had some errors precipitated by me that req got a great price.Tom Spalding was my salesperson and he made me feel like he was working for me. We even had some errors precipitated by me that required the redo of all the paperwork. Tom was always cheerful and took the time as if we were his only customer. Received my car the next day and it was clean with my old washed plate on it. Highly recommend White River Toyota. More
New truck purchase and I wanted a dealership that was friendly, did good work, and finely had good service. This what my wife and I found at this dealership. My wife said she would go back and she D0ES NOT friendly, did good work, and finely had good service. This what my wife and I found at this dealership. My wife said she would go back and she D0ES NOT LIKE CAR DEALERS. This why we went to White River Toyota. Its a 98 mile round trip for us, but it was worth it. More
We went to White River Toyota to consider buying a new vehicle. Even though Pete Stoddard is the General Manager, he treated us as if we were his only customers. It is as if he invented "personal service vehicle. Even though Pete Stoddard is the General Manager, he treated us as if we were his only customers. It is as if he invented "personal service." His warmth, knowledge, patience, advice, helpfulness all added to an incredible buying experience. I am almost 60 and have gone to many dealers in my life, but *none* come close to the customer service of White River Toyota. Their motto of "It's all about people" isn't a slogan, it's a philosophy. At no time did we feel pressured in any way; in fact we were considering a more expensive vehicle, but Pete gave us the information we needed to realize our needs were better met with the smaller car we ended up buying. Pete Stoddard runs a tight ship, but he manages to do so without losing the personal touch. He makes what can, and often is, a nerve-wracking experience as easy as possible and I do not consider myself to be an "easy" customer. We picked up our new car last night and it was immaculate. By the way, the new service shop at White River Toyota has to be seen to be believed: it is cleaner than my mother's kitchen floor! It should be noted that we bought this car in the midst of the Toyota recall controversy. Each detail of the problem was explained to us fully, and we now drive our new car without the slightest trepidation. Toyota is dealing with every aspect of the problem and if one were to compare this to what is and has gone on with other car makers honestly, it would be a non-issue. Of course the "News" lives by stirring the pot, but if one bothers to listen to the whole story, there is no question Toyota has the situation firmly in hand and owners can be assured their needs are being met. I am also convinced that if every dealership had Pete Stoddard running it, there would be no outcry against Toyota. Case in point, his dealership is as packed with prospective buyers as ever. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough about this dealership. We recommend White River Toyota wholeheartedly and without any mental reservation or equivocation whatsoever. This is the place to go if you want a new car, or if you just want to have your current Toyota serviced. More
Alicia (I'm not sure of the spelling) was the only service person in our area who could or would help me on the phone with our cabin filter. She was knowledgeable about what was involved and the cost. service person in our area who could or would help me on the phone with our cabin filter. She was knowledgeable about what was involved and the cost. She also was able to help with a bad fuel problem, helping us get back the $1600 cost of the repairs. For the first several services, I'd drop the car off and pick it up when no one was there, so I met no one. The work, however, was done as promised. Many times Alicia and others have helped with warranty issues. Each service person there has been straightforward and when we've disagreed situations have been resolved quickly and fairly (I've not always been right). If you are near this area, I don't know of another Toyota dealer I'd have work done at. To be fair, though, I've only tried the two closest to me. I'd love not to have to have dealer work done 1-1/2 hours away, but days, money, and effort wasted at closer dealers have been a lot worse than the time spent to, near, and from White River Toyota. There is a lot to do in the area and they'll shuttle you to and from several places nearby. Tell 'em Peter sent you. More
