New Prius had 4 problems, 1 serious as car surged for 15 seconds on its own while going 60 mph on interstate. They took car out and test drove at 25 mph and reported no problem. Gas mileage also sank 2 seconds on its own while going 60 mph on interstate. They took car out and test drove at 25 mph and reported no problem. Gas mileage also sank 25% on same interstate drive. They could of cared less. They told me that due to our weather the oil needed to be changed twice as much, when they found out I had free maintenance for 2 years via Toyota and Toyota would be paying for it, the car all of a sudden didn't need it, I guess the car only needs it when I'm paying for it. Other problems they agreed with, but said there were no fixes put out by Toyota on how to fix. One was the radio antenna doesn't work properly, if it would of been me paying there rate of $85.50 an hour, I'm sure it would of been fixed, but as its under warranty, they refuse to fix it via theres no technical service bulletin. It was my pleasure to purchase my 2010 Yaris at White River Toyota. My salesman, Jude Abruiso was knowledgeable about the product he was selling and did not pressure me in any way to make a purchase. He gave me as much time as I needed to make my decision. Since my purchase he has assisted me whenever I have a question about my new Yaris. I went to the orientation session at the dealership a week later and met other new Toyota buyers and learned more about service opportunities and equipment for my car. Thank you White River Toyota for making my purchase of a new car a pleasurable experience. More

I had been jerked around by almost all of them to the point where I was very defensive and felt all the “fun” had been cut out of the buying process. The most common scenario was: I had found a car in the Dealer's inventory (internet ad) and called them to confirm that they still had it available for sale. However when I arrived at several of these "Sleaze Merchants", I was told the vehicle I came for had “just been sold”. "But don't worry we have plenty of cars for you to look at". I checked back on several of these internet ads and even after 2 weeks the “sold” vehicle was still listed for sale online. White River Toyota, White River, Vermont – Tom Spalding Right from the outset.. this experience was different. Their motto is "It's All About People". From the moment you enter this Dealership, you get the feeling of a small town dealer. No frills, no ties, laidback attitude, no pressure, and FRIENDLY. Tom was straightforward and honest, no games. White River VT is a 90 minute drive for us. I was able to negotiate the price over the phone, made the trip, (the vehicle was actually there!) test drove (alone) and bought. All transacted within about an hour. I now have Tom searching for a second vehicle for me! Repeat business is the best testament of all! I emphatically recommend Tom Spalding and White River Toyota. In total, I visited at least 6 different Toyota dealerships in the Northern New England area in search of my Toyota Camry. Of all of the dealerships I had dealt with (not just here in the US but abroad as well), White River Toyota had extremely professional, polite, and friendly staff who were a complete pleasure to work with. They were honest and up front, and didn't engage in any of the "sales tactics/gimmicks/games" that I had so lengthily heard about and experienced at other dealerships. I even had them install a remote starter on my new car, and the work was done in a timely manner to professional standards. I highly recommend White River Toyota, and they really do hold up to their mission and motto "We are all about the people". More
These folks went out of their way to make things work for me. I deeply appreciate the extra work they all went through to make a deal happen. I have already recommended this dealership to someone else, and me. I deeply appreciate the extra work they all went through to make a deal happen. I had been to several dealerships looking for the right car. Damon was the first to figure out exactly what I wanted. It was about me, not just about selling cars. He knew the cars on the lot well, and he was able to answer all my questions honestly. Everyone at White River Toyota, including Pete, the manager, was friendly and helpful. I did not feel "pushed". They made sure that I was happy with my new used car, and even took care of a paint problem that I did not notice until after the sale. I cannot recommend this dealership highly enough. More
Damon worked extremely hard to make our buying experience a pleasant one. Purchasing a car can be stressful and unpleasant, but it wasn't this time. He followed through on every detail of the sale. The price we paid was more than we expected, but not enough so that we went to another dealer. All in all a very satisfactory car purchasing experience. More

This was the best used car buying experience I have ever had in my life. I was a first time customer at this dealership, and General Manager Pete Stoddard treated me like a relative. Not kidding. 1) Gave m had in my life. I was a first time customer at this dealership, and General Manager Pete Stoddard treated me like a relative. Not kidding. 1) Gave me a deal on the sticker price of my used Subaru, with a mere mention of "talking about the price". Boom... gave me the deal I was thinking in my head without me having to ask for it. I didn't even buy a Toyota and was treated like I bought 10 loaded Avalons. 2) Pete Stoddard not only read my smart-buy lease agreement so he could make sure I wouldn't be squeezed by my previous car company (GM), he called my previous car dealer himself, in Virginia, to ask to make sure I could return my car without owing any remainder on my balloon payment. 3) I had chosen to trade in my leased car and roll the remainder of the Smart Buy balloon payment into my new car loan because I knew KBB was 1500 below what I owed on my car. I was upside down. I didn't want to get the scratch on my car fixed because it would cost me to take it to the body shop. 4) Pete offered.... free of charge and HIS IDEA.... to take my leased GM car to his reconditioning guys and let them work on it for an hour. So I could turn my car in and not worry about paying a body shop to fix a scratch. ---At THAT offer, I informed him he had officially sold me more than ONE car. I'm now telling my friends, and already planning to buy my next car from White River Toyota. 5) I returned my car to the GM dealer after I bought my little Subaru, because Pete asked me to call his direct line when I was done with the GM return paperwork at the GM dealer. He would send someone over to pick me up. Which he did, as soon as I was done. I barely had to wait. He kept me (and probably 30 other people) on his mind that whole day. 6) I returned with the person he sent to pick me up and bring me back, to find that Pete had my Subaru detailed, filled with gas.... and rechecked. He said his mechanic found my rear brakes were a little low on my new Subaru... so he told his mechanic to put in new rear brakes.... at no charge to me, and without my asking him to do it. At that point, I was completely blown away. I have never, ever had such a positive experience with any car dealership, ever. I not only would buy another car from White River Toyota, I am telling everyone to go there. And I WILL buy my next car from White River Toyota. Because no matter if I buy a new Forerunner, or a used Subaru.... I'm looked out for and protected like a sister. Knowing a car dealer would treat me like a relative is worth it's weight in gold. I'd be crazy to go anywhere else. More
