Best car purchasing experience to date! Since moving to the Upper Valley a couple of years ago, we've anticipated adding a car to round out the needs of our family. We've also serviced our 2007 Camry at the WRJ dealership and have been pleased with the service there. Because my husband is about to give up a Tacoma he has had use of at work for several years and we loved that vehicle, we were torn between another Toyota truck and a smaller, cushier SUV. Bill Severance patiently took us through the pros of both the 4-Runner and the Venza, our favored choices, without ever pressuring us in any one direction, just effectively answering all our questions, pointing out features, and letting us come to our own conclusions at a pace that worked for us. In the end it was clear that we'd be driving a beautiful new Venza home--Bill even arranged his own life around enabling us to stay past closing, wanting very much to ensure that our excellent service did not have to extend out past the weekend. Bill is one of the kindest, most pleasant and sincere folks you'll ever encounter in any field, with a great handle on the vehicles he is selling. I was really glad to discover that we are all based in Woodstock and am so pleased to get to know this wonderful neighbor. More

Waste of time and money I went to White River Toyota a couple of weeks ago to look at a Dodge Caliber they had advertised online. I did a lot of research and asked many quest I went to White River Toyota a couple of weeks ago to look at a Dodge Caliber they had advertised online. I did a lot of research and asked many questions about the car before I drove down there (2 hours away). I asked about the car being checked out by their mechanics and they said they did a head to toe check with it and there are no problems at all and it's ready to drive off the lot. Their confidence in their mechanics and in the car was very convincing. So, I decided to take half a day off work to drive the 2 hours down to check out the Caliber. When I got there it looked very nice and clean...UNTIL...I opened the hood to look at the engine. There oil all over the spark plugs (usually means a blown gasket of some sort). Then I drove it and the breaks were squeaking when I would stop. This car was not looked over by mechanics or if it was they did a horrible job. I told them that they would have to get the oil leak and the breaks fixed before I signed anything to buy the car. They drew up the purchase agreement (I didn't sign) then I drove 2 hours back home. 5 days later they called me and told me they're not going to sell me the car because it had too many things wrong with it for them to fix (the things I found, not their mechanics). I was livid for them wasting my time and money by advertising a car online to sell, while reassuring me that the car was looked over by their mechanics with nothing wrong and was ready to drive off the lot. NOT!!! Then Kevin Doyle (used car sales manager) told me "Do whatever you want, I'm through with you!" Wow, what customer service huh? I'll do everything I can to keep people from wasting their own time and money at this place. PS: I waited a couple of weeks before I posted this review because I didn't want to write it in the heat of the moment. Even after this time to cool down I still realized how awful of an experience it was and still wanted to make sure everyone know. More

Every interaction was cordial. They responded to my questions quickly, and were very sincere. I never felt like a customer being sold a car, but instead like my friends were merely meeting my auto needs. I came into the store looking for a car for my son, and left with a great trade of my own car. Bill hung in and contacted me once a week for several weeks updating me on cars entering their lot. The first few were not a match, but Bill kept diligently searching and eventually directed me to a great car that literally was on the lift getting the Trademark - White River Toyota Used Car certification. I picked up my shiny used car a week later, Bill even shined the car as I waited, and helped address every question I had. Some places say they go the "extra mile," but White River Toyota went much further... I never thought I would lease but I am really excited about this.I would say that I wasted time at other dealerships before ending up at White River Toyota, but I guess it allowed me for a fair comaparison so the time was'nt toatlly wasted. John helped me find the perfect truck and worked with me on my trade-in to get an acceptable price. After having the truck for only a short time, the transmission went. But I knew when I shopped for a Toyot on my trade-in to get an acceptable price. After having the truck for only a short time, the transmission went. But I knew when I shopped for a Toyota, I'd be well take care of. My truck was towed to the dealership, they delivered a loaner vehicle the next day and within two days, my new truck was ready (with its new transmission) and delivered. All this when I lived 70 miles away. Toyota has a fantastic reputation and this dealership, and John McKeon, is one of the reasons why. I don't know why I waited so long to trade up to a REAL truck.
