Responsive to concerns I felt some of the service work recommended by the dealer (and which I agreed to have done) was unnecessary and expensive but didn’t want to refuse it I felt some of the service work recommended by the dealer (and which I agreed to have done) was unnecessary and expensive but didn’t want to refuse it in case of future warranty questions. Upon getting home I checked the recommended service frequency chart in my warranty booklet and found that for normal conditions some of the work that was recommended by the dealership was indeed not necessary. In discussing the issue with the service manager he indicated that Subaru recommends more frequent service for some things because of the climate conditions in our area. Since my use of the car is somewhat atypical, in the future we will use the normal service frequency schedule, not the severe service schedule. I felt that the service manager was responsive to my concerns and I will continue to have my service work done here as long as they do a good job. More
Beautiful building, Interesting people I purchased a car recently from the dealership. The main reason I went to the White Bear dealership was due to proximity to my home. The sales person was great - informative, bent over backwards to answer questions. The Finance guy was nice, personable, but we had to re-do paperwork a couple times due to his mistakes. The whole process took over 3 hours, which I think is extensive since I knew what I wanted... they made me wait for quite some time in between meetings for what seemed like no reason, it was not that busy. The General Manager is not a person who tries to make you feel good about your purchase, but pressures you and treats you like you an an idiot if you do not agree to his offer, especially if you are a woman. I feel I received an okay deal, the best deal, no, but okay. I left feeling slightly upset, but happy the experience was over. I had an appointment with the Sales person who follows up after a new car purchase so you can go over the functions of the car. He was very cordial and helpful. My last comet will be about an incident after my purchase. I will not give too many details away since I do not trust I would not receive retaliatory measures. I had a problem I wanted the dealership to fix, the sales manager was incredibly rude to me and the sales person, after making me wait for over half an hour, I finally got assistance to my request. That being said. I love my car, I will keep going there and be happy to see my sales representative and grab a cookie. I indicate I would not recommend, because this web-service forces me to choose to submit this review. I honestly cannot say one way or another if I would recommend, there are too many nuances, and I do not have a long relationship with the dealership yet. If you do go, bring a sweater, its freezing in there! More

Highly recommend Marilyn Babcock I recently stopped by White Bear Subaru on a Friday afternoon and had the pleasure of working with Marilyn Babcock. We love the 2018 Subaru Outback 3 I recently stopped by White Bear Subaru on a Friday afternoon and had the pleasure of working with Marilyn Babcock. We love the 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6R but unexpected circumstances on our end caused us to need to delay our car purchase decision for now. I however felt compelled enough to share the wonderful experience I had with Marilyn Babcock. Part of the reason to do this is that my only other prior interaction (via phone and email) with a different salesperson at WBL Subaru was highly unprofessional and disappointing. I contemplated writing off WBL Subaru all together after that but I decided to give them another try due to the dealerships proximity to my home and was so pleasantly surprised by Marilyn. She was very kind, knowledgeable and patient. She simply had a wonderful approach and demeanor. I never once felt pressured in anyway and very much enjoyed getting to know her. We plan to revisit our new car purchase in Q1 2019 and will definitely plan to reach out to Marilyn again at that time. Even with the fact that WBL Subaru has a beautiful new dealership and a very large inventory of colors and models to choose from, everyone deserves the opportunity to have a positive car buying experience. First Time Buyer(s) My friends daughter and I both were interested in looking at Subarus so we stopped by White Bear Subaru, Dan Christopherson was great to work with. Bo My friends daughter and I both were interested in looking at Subarus so we stopped by White Bear Subaru, Dan Christopherson was great to work with. Both of us are first time buyers and Dan was very thorough and respectful to both of us. I really appreciated the attention he gave us individually. I did not intend to purchase a car that day but when Dan had me test drive a used 2013 Forester that ticked all my boxes down to the color, I had some serious thinking to do and he gave me that time. He then turned his attention to my young friend and totally impressed me by treating her like the potential buyer that she was not a young kid. After her test drive of an Outback, I had been texting my son-in-law and he confirmed that for the year, mileage, condition the he felt it was a very good deal. So I tentatively said I would purchase the Forester. Dan then noticing my "fear" assured me that they have a 5 day/500 mile return policy and that if during that time I decided I just didn't want it or couldn't do it, I could bring it back with no problem. He was kind to explain the whole process not only for me but for the benefit of my friend so that she would be ready to make a future purchase also. I would highly recommend White Bear Subaru/Acura to anyone thinking of making a car purchase. Thank you Dan for helping through my first vehicle purchase! More
