Sunnyside Toyota is committed to providing the best possible service and to making the sales experience a favorable one. We were sorry to learn that you felt the service you received was less than satisfactory. You had telephoned twice on Sunday prior to your visit. No mention was made during either call that you had the intention of pursuing an overnight test drive. We typically do not offer overnight test drives for a variety of reasons: excess mileage added to the vehicle, wear and tear, and the additional risk something happening to devalue our vehicle. - We detail all of our vehicles prior to offering them for sale. However, they do become dirty from people evaluating, especially during the winter months. We had several parties take a look at & test drive the Sienna that weekend. Part of our sale process is that once a vehicle is sold, it is returned to our detail department to refresh the vehicle to its proper condition. - Our used car managers assess trade-ins based on wholesale market value. Quite often customers feel their vehicle is worth more than fair market value. Some vehicles may be a brand or model that is no longer produced, making it more difficult to sell; as in the case of your Mercury. - Please understand that we are obligated to offer various protection plans to safeguard our customers and protect their investment. Mandatory disclosure simply means that financial & insurance products were made available and offered to you as an option. It is purely up to you to decide on which options, if any, work best for you. - It is through communication such as yours that Sunnyside is made aware of the reactions and expectations of our customers, and we wish to assure you that your opinion and concerns are important to us. Jack & Christine, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you may have been caused. When you purchased your 2014 Sienna van, you were to provide Sunnyside with a program certificate. This document was a requirement to receive your supplier discount from Toyota Motor Sales. When taking delivery of your new vehicle, we simply asked that you guarantee the delivery of the program certificate after the holidays. Unfortunately, you could not provide the supplier discount certificate as outlined in your purchase agreement. So, as a long-standing customer of Sunnyside, we offered to split the cost as a goodwill gesture. We were hopeful that our efforts to pay half of your supplier discount would be considered a good faith gesture and would solidify our long term business relationship. Once again, we’re sorry for any inconvenience.
