Recently, we have needed to replace both of our cars, as they were on their last legs. Sunnyside Toyota was the ONLY dealership in the area that was willing to work with us. Ron Swetland and Bob Murray worked SO hard help us get financed for our first vehicle. They were patient, and kind, and treated us with so much dignity and respect. As difficult and time consuming as it was to help us with our first car, they were willing to do it AGAIN. I can't imagine that there was much commission it for them given the amount of time they spent on us versus the price of the vehicle. We will NEVER purchase a vehicle from another dealership. They are truly good human beings. More
The Dynamic Duo Bob and Al I have gotten 3 vehichles from Sunnyside with Bob Murray and Al Phillips. Most recently yesterday. My husband and I were there getting our Camry out I have gotten 3 vehichles from Sunnyside with Bob Murray and Al Phillips. Most recently yesterday. My husband and I were there getting our Camry out of service (a special thanks to Ray Thomas) he was a pleasure to work with. We had contacted Bob several days in advance letting him know we would be looking to get a vehicle for my husband who was in DESPARATE need of something other than what he had! We spoke to him about what type of vehicle we were looking for and within a few hours Bob called me and gave me some information on a vehhicle. We went out yesterday and it got our 2011 Chevy Equinox. Al was there to take us on a test drive he answered all our questions. The whole transaction was so smooth! Bob Murray I have to say has a heart of pure gold, this man has constantly gone above and beyond our our behalf. We appreciate the professionalism and courtesy that Bob and Al gives to us and we are so happy to have found these to gentlemen they are gems. The finance manger Lori Sovey-Strah was so helpful she explained everything and it was no pressure we were very blessed to have worked with these great people yesterday. Bob we love you! Experience was about what you would expect from a dealership Hate car shopping! Needed a newer van for traveling back and forth to Florida and thought we wanted a Toyota or Honda for safety and overall rating. Stopped in at local dealerships to get a "feel" for things. Then decided to cast a larger net and searched the internet for what we felt we wanted. Made a list of possibilities and called Sunnyside, about 45 mins away, to look at a Toyota that met our criteria and seemed competitively priced. We were reluctant as the van had a couple of dings and we didn't have to buy. But they had just gotten in another Sienna in different color priced a bit higher but would make same deal. We liked the car, felt it was a good deal and took it. Josh wasn't pushy and was generous with his time in going over the car with us and again when we went back to pick it up. Yes they tried to add some things but we're 70+ and have no problem saying no. Basically we felt our business was desired but they were not overly pushy in trying to obtain it. Will be interesting if management really does a transmission fluid change for us after agreeing to it as part of the sale but then determined that Toyota doesn't recommend until 100K. Mike said he would still do it at 100K. We'll see. We also didn't get touch-up paint that was part of the deal. More
Ron Swetland is the best! After saying goodbye to our Honda Odyssey that was a part of our family for 13 years, we were grieved to have to start the search for a replacement. I'd done a lot of searching on the Internet to find the best deal that best suited our families needs, and through Cars.com, I found what was to be our next family vehicle. Sunnyside was a 2+ hour drive from our home, so communication with this dealership was vital prior to our decision to make the trip. Ron was very professional in his correspondence - and was wonderful in person. He didn't fit the mold of "used car salesman" as often depicted - what a refreshing change! He didn't try to push something on us that he could clearly see was not what we were in the market for, simply to make a sale. We now have a "newer" Odyssey and couldn't be happier! Oh - and the dealership is immaculate - very accommodating... We enjoyed the Keurig flavored coffees and creamers :). And I noticed a nice waiting area with TV, etc., for the service department - and even a separate game room for the kiddos! And the bathrooms were so clean! Great job, Sunnyside! I definitely recommend this dealership and will definitely consider them for our next vehicle purchase. More

But after 26 years of working with Sunnyside, I knew I would find the right car, at the right price at the right dealership. Al Phillips was very helpful. I drove in intending to test drive cars and instead drove out in a pre-owned Altima. I was delighted. Al even moved all my possessions to the Altima. I was also pleased that Michael Cuva (G.M.) and Lori Sovey-Strah (F.M.) carefully explained the finance options. Purchasing is another aspect of car buying that can be daunting. I walked away relieved and confident that I was buying what I needed. Sunnyside Toyota has taken care of me, my family, our friends and their families for many years. I continue to appreciate their attentive, professional, competent, courteous service and highly recommend the dealership. More

Best Car Buying Experience We Have Ever Had Over the years we have worked with many different dealerships in several different states. We have never had such a great experience. Due to the economy over the past several years our credit has suffered but that did not change the experience we had buying a car at Sunnyside. We were not made to feel less adequate because of our credit, John, Bob and Ken were knowledgeable, helpful, provided great customer service and didnt seem to mind that we kept them there after closing time on a Friday. Typically buying a car is a long drawn out process... We were able to find the car we wanted online and were confident brcause thier webpage does a great job of showing you the vehicles without having to drive around lot after lot. We began with the credit app online and once we came into the dealership we were in and out with our new car in less than 2 1/2 hours. The dealership itself is very comfortable with a kids room (very neatly kept with books, games and videos) that kept our 6 year old content throughout the process (they also have a video game room for the older kids), lots of room to sit or move around with out feeling crowded and all of the staff was pleasant. We will absolutely return to Sunnyside Toyota in a year and a half when our son turns 16. Hope to see John, Bob and Ken there! More

They did not have a van that met our budget; however, he called his associate at their Honda store, discussed availablity, and helped us find the right van, at the right price. Last month, we decided to find a more fuel efficient vehicle to replace my SUV since my new job requires 100 miles of driving daily. I called him and he remembered my wife and I. He asked me about my needs and preferences and asked that we give him a few days. 3 days later he called us and advised he found the perfect car for our budget. Normally they were only open until 6 on Fridays, but knowing I was in a jam, Bob stayed late, showed us the car, and signed us up so that I had transportation to get to work Saturday morning. The vehicle was exactly as described, fit our budget, and I didn't need to take any time off from work. We have always purchased our vehicles from private owners, mostly through Craigslist with little success. Our neighbors recommended we contact Bob Murray at Sunnyside Toyota, and he exceeded our expectations. When we need to replace our vehicles down the road, there will be only one option - Bob Murray & Sunnyside Toyota! More
The WORST service experience ever. We've been frequent customers at Sunnyside because it was close to home and not horrible-- that is until we took our Prius in for an oil change. We got the car back and we broke down 20 miles later. We returned to Sunnyside and they said it was due to overfilling the oil. We drove away a little nervous and the car wasn't quite the same. 3 days later we broke down again and are now being told its $5K to fix. Sunnyside will take no responsibility at all. The service director says its all a coincidence. We'll never go back there. More
