Over a 3 month time period my "check engine light" brought me to the dealer 3 times for the same general code warning P0171. The 1st visit cost a new MAF sensor replacement (Charged only for labor $1 brought me to the dealer 3 times for the same general code warning P0171. The 1st visit cost a new MAF sensor replacement (Charged only for labor $100 to switch my after market unit for a Toyota product, it took me about 10 minutes to replace the sensor) and a new vacuum valve $260. The 2nd visit, 4 weeks later, cost $610 for an intake meter sub-assembly and an intake manifold assembly. The 3rd visit, approximately 8 weeks later, took 5 days from Monday at shop opening time to Friday around noon, and was free because the shop, after turning off the warning, could not get it to come back. Daily drives did not reproduce the warning. Communications and status notifications were primarily left up to me which was very frustrating. Please note a positive side, I was finally granted a complimentary rental car on Thursday around noon. I have been left with a sense of wondering what if any of the service done was actually needed and what was done just to "try something." My wife and I have been coming to this dealership for over 20 years and have never experienced anything nearly as disturbing as this 3 month series of events. More
Had regular maintenance done, everything including battery was good. Half hour after ,car wouldn’t start. They assumed it was key fob., replaced fob battery. Next day car wouldn’t start, then again. H battery was good. Half hour after ,car wouldn’t start. They assumed it was key fob., replaced fob battery. Next day car wouldn’t start, then again. Had car towed in, was the 12 volt battery. Was the batty really checked? More
