I recently brought my vehicle to the service department at Westside Hyundai of Jacksonville, and my experience left me deeply dissatisfied. While I understand that dealership services can come at a premium at Westside Hyundai of Jacksonville, and my experience left me deeply dissatisfied. While I understand that dealership services can come at a premium, the pricing here was shockingly excessive—nearly 300% higher than what I ultimately paid at an independent shop. Specifically, I was quoted $9,500 to address a full list of repairs, even though I had only asked for a specific issue to be fixed. Worse, the quote included inaccurate recommendations, such as replacing both license plate light bulbs and brake bulbs when only one of each was faulty. For context, I purchased all four bulbs for $9 on Amazon, while the dealership quoted me $237 per bulb—a total of $474 for what should have been a minor fix. When it came to the actual issue I brought the car in for, the dealership quoted $2,500 for the repair. However, after taking my car to a trusted independent shop for a second opinion, the issue was fixed for just $480, and the car has been running great for over a week now. Additionally, the staff showed a noticeable lack of empathy and people skills throughout the process. It felt as though their focus was more on upselling unnecessary repairs than genuinely addressing the customer’s needs. To summarize, this service department overcharges significantly, provides questionable estimates, and lacks the customer-focused approach one should expect. This dealership is ridiculous. I tried to buy a car and they use some generic email and several people email you. They do not communicate with each other. Then this morning ‘oh wait until I settle in’ and I will send you the quote. Then after several emails a different salesperson says the car was already sold. They use generic mailboxes and AI and they do not communicate. Please stay clear of Sarah Hall and Darnell Cummings. More
Worst ever had appointment for recall on trunk latch sat there for 15 minutes told me they didn’t have the part. Made another appointment for 7:30 am sat there until 10:00 am car still had not been looked t there for 15 minutes told me they didn’t have the part. Guess if it’s a recall gets pushed to end of the line so good is an appointment. If I could give zero I would but will not be back. More

Why I would not recommend anyone going to Westside for anything. Aug 31: • bought a Hyundai Sante Fe • Part of contract was a detail clean to attempt to clean stain from back seat. o Informed that we anything. Sept. 8th: • 4 error lights come on the dash. • Contacted Sales manager about the issue. Was informed to bring it in Tuesday morning at 8 am • Also asked about cleaning car scheduling was delayed. Sept. 12th: • Dropped the car off to be repaired. Service Center informed me that they would be able to get me an estimate by end of day but would not be able to work on it until at least the next day. • No call Sept 13 • Began calling at 11 am no answer after repeated attempts. • Contacted the Sales office they “sent” someone to ask them to call me, no answer. • Contacted Sales manager who facilitated the car sale he said he would check and have them call, no call back. • Attempted calls all through 5pm Sept 14: • Continued calling Service Center no response. • Continued calling Sales office talked to multiple people no call back from Service Center despite multiple promises. Sept 15: • Continued pattern of calling Service Center and Sales office finally get an estimate and told to come back on the 19th for repairs. Sept 19: • Picked up after 5 also asked about detail clean and informed that it would be scheduled. Oct 23-24 • We called and set up an appointment for detail clean for the 30th. Oct. 30 • No pictures taken and no proof presented to show damage prior to working on the stain. When I visually inspected the car there were no holes as of drop off. • Wife shows up end of day and informed that there was a hole in the back seat, and it came into the shop that way. • The hole is exactly where the stain was, and we were never contacted about it or informed of any issues. I went through my call log and counted the number of people who told me they would schedule the cleaning there were 3 and at least 2 of them told me this more than once. To date every interaction after signing the papers has been a lesson in frustration and has been nothing but a pain including permanent damage to my car. More
New sales AND the service department - zero stars if I could. I would NEVER take a vehicle here. The level of service is appalling. Only if you work hard for your money,take this review seriously. First of I bought a car back in June until today almost 3 months I have no papers(plates,registration nor title) even though vehicle is seriously. Second I was overcharged $500 I talked to both sales man and finance man they said they will refund me but I haven’t received any money. And last but not least the car was washed in and out very well and this is the only thing they did to the car because after got home the next day I took it to dealership and it was due to almost every service ( oil change,new tires, spark plugs,phone charger outlet wasn’t working,trunk wouldn’t close automatically as supposed ,alignment, and transmission service)so if you must buy from here I suggest you at least do prepurcheas test or diagnostic. Me and the wife bought a 2023 Hyundai Elantra this pass sat (5/13/23). We love our car and our sales guy Berto. If anyone is out buying I highly recommend Berto. We was approved in minutes and me and the wife literally took hours to make up our mind and Berto was 110% patient the whole time. We laughed and joked with Berto while making up our mind.
