We would not recommend Westshore Mazda in Tampa Florida to anyone. Our car broke down while on vacation in Florida in July 2023. It was a 2011 Mazda 6. We have owned three Mazda's since 1986 so we went to to anyone. Our car broke down while on vacation in Florida in July 2023. It was a 2011 Mazda 6. We have owned three Mazda's since 1986 so we went to the local Mazda dealer. The engine on my car had a blown head gasket. Our nightmare began when we wanted to talk to a salesman that was busy with another customer. We were directed to Nicholas Alderson. Nicholas was wanting to know what we needed and we told him and he said oh you have a piece of junk to trade in. Very rude. He was very unprofessional using Gods name in vain. He asked my wife where the xxxx is Ted now, when I had to go to the restroom. I had kidney problems at that time. Mo Fahda was our Finance person. He was the one who told me I was entitled to a military rebate that I had to send a copy of my DD Form 214. After a month and half I had not received my rebate. I inquired to the person who handles rebates her name was Vicky Kerley. She told me she did not have my DD Form 214, so I got her address and sent it to her. This was last of August, I called her and she told me she did receive my DD Form 214 and I was entitled to a rebate. Here it is November and have not received my military rebate. Another problem we had was they overcharged me on my taxes. It took them over a month to return my difference from the date I first notified them of their mistake. They also messed our insurance up. All we wanted to do is switch one car to another. I am 71 and dealt with a lot of dealers and this one is the worst. I would not recommend my worst enemy to Westshore Mazda next time. We also sent a letter to the General Manager and he did not respond. They would not deal with us. Had to pay full price. Salesman did not let us test drive the car. This is the worst car dealer every. Personnel in this dealership is awful. Stay away from this dealership. As of November 21st 2023 we are still having troubles receiving my military rebate. More
This dealership is AWFUL. Actually worse than a buy-here-pay-here lot. I purchased a car from this place on 10/14/23. Less than 24 hours later I had to bring the car back because there was no Apple Car Play on it, despite me asking 3-4 times if the car had this feature prior to purchasing it and being told yes every time. In addition to this, the left side speaker was not working, the alignment was so bad the car was dragging me to the right, and the shocks were so messed up that the car sounded like a squeaky mattress when getting in/out of it or going over bumps/up an incline. They “fixed” all of these issues and I took the car back. On 10/22/23 I reached out to the dealership again as the “brand new speaker” they just installed was not working…again. Additionally, after driving the car on the highway for the first time, I noticed a burning smell when going 80mph or above. I dropped the car off to them AGAIN on 10/23/23. I popped in to check on the status of my car on 10/26/23 to find it sitting in the parking lot and not even being worked on after having sat at the dealership for 3 business days. So as of 10/26/23 after “owning” the car for almost two weeks at this point, I have actually only had the car in my possession for maybe 4 days total. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! You’re better off going to a buy-here-pay-here lot and purchasing a car of the same exact quality for half of the price. More
Maybe if I write an honest review I can finally get somewhere with this dealership as my efforts for a month have gone without answer. I keep getting promised someone will call “immediately” and days go by. Let me start off by saying I came to this dealership based on the reviews. I should have walked out the second my husband and I were talked down to by salesman Roberto who judged us off bat because we didn’t have perfect credit scores and a “trashed out” car to trade. We would be lucky to get into a 2020 used vehicle. After telling the manager Mohammad we were leaving due to his salesmen he assured us that it was a one off and he would do ANYTHING to earn our business. He was kind so we stayed. He worked us a decent deal with salesmen Chris, who was an excellent man but really should go to another dealership. We decided that that day we were not wanting to buy and wanted to think. They were on us about it and decided a week later to go with the deal. It wasn’t amazing but in this market it was pretty good. They had sold the car we originally picked but had the same in another color. We said alright and went with it, signed our paperwork and drove off with the SUV. About a week and a half later someone from the dealership called me asking me to verify my VIN number. As it turned out, they did our paperwork for an incorrect vehicle. Which then meant my tag was on an incorrect VIN and so was my insurance. He said he would do what needed to be done and send me an email when done. But he couldn’t do anything and had to have us come out to sign. I will say they were accommodating though it took another almost two weeks for someone to bring the paperwork to my home for us to bring it back to them. In that time my car wasn’t insured so if I had been in an accident, I would have no insurance. If I insured the vehicle I was driving I would get an insurance suspension due to the VIN being assigned to me in the DMV system was not mine(I work for the DMV). They didn’t really seem to care about the problem they put me in. They even used my old vehicle that I accidentally left my sunpass in TO USE TOLL ROADS(which they still have not fixed for me after promising to comp me for that). We brought back the paperwork, they filled my almost full gas tank for the “inconvenience” and sent us on our way. That was 10/25. My loan STILL has not been updated and I will be receiving a hit on my credit for it since they are NOT finishing and correcting my paperwork. Manager Lam has promised over and over it would be fixed and email me copies of the paperwork we signed and nothing has happened. I’ve called my finance company and they’ve stated they can’t get an answer from the dealership either. It’s an absolute NIGHTMARE and I regret using this dealership. I would love nothing more than to take back our deal and buy from somewhere reputable and keeps their promises. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this dealership as they have zero communication after THEY mess up and leave you hanging. More
