Ordered a Toyota Rav4 Peume XSE with premium package last June. They told me it would be about 6-12 months to get it. No problem. After the 6 month mark, I began asking about progress/status of my request June. They told me it would be about 6-12 months to get it. No problem. After the 6 month mark, I began asking about progress/status of my request. I was told to keep waiting, so I did. A couple months later, when checking again, the manager came out to tell me that if I wanted the premium package, I could be waiting another year or more because Toyota wasn't making them, but if I wanted to downgrade, and change the color, I could have it in as little as a few days. I was not happy with this, but chose to keep my color and trim level request and simply remove my request for the prime package. One month later, I have taken delivery of my Rav4 Prime, and it is awesome! The dealer and especially my sales person did a great job on delivery making sure everything was as perfect as it could be. If I had not been so persistent in my requests, I'm not sure how long I would have waited, or if I would have continued to wait and still not been able to get my specific order. More
