This is my first experience at the new dealership. While Brett and Sam are stellar as always, and the work was done satisfactorily, the no longer solely Mini environment is definitely a step down. The space is loud, the parking is convoluted, and the energy is overwhelming. It would be better to have a more clearly defined Mini space with a true Mini vibe. Dealer appointment scheduled was easy and time frame to appointment was reasonable. Dealer shuttle was fine. Service and time needed for oil change was also reasonable. Extras were exemplary. First time here after many times that it was owned by Towne group. Hugh disappointment with the service attitude of the service writer Austin. I needed a shuttle ride home after leaving my car for the Towne group. Hugh disappointment with the service attitude of the service writer Austin. I needed a shuttle ride home after leaving my car for the day. Austin called me at about 3pm to tell me what the mechanic found on the car and he said he would call me when the car was ready for pick up. Austin never called me Bach so I looked up service hrs and saw they closed at 5 pm and it was 4 pm already. I called and spoke with Austin to inquire about shuttle service and he told me the drivers leave at 3:30 to 4 pm and no one was available to pick me up so I could get my car that I was never told was finished. Austin then told me I would have to find a ride myself to get my car or wait until the next day to get a shuttle ride. I asked him if a person was at work until 5 pm and needed a ride back to the dealer then what would be done about that? No answer. I asked him if a person needs shuttle service in the morning why would the service writter not ask the customer if he/she would need shuttle service in the afternoon? Austin told me that I should have told him what my needs were and it was not his fault I did not have a ride back to pick up my car. I asked if someone was st the dealer to pick me and Austin said no. I then asked to speak to the service mgr or the general mgr and Austin told me they would tell me the same thing. Well a mgr was spoken with and there was a shuttle drive still on premises that Austin said he was unaware of. I said would you not as a service writer want to have your shuttle drivers communicate their whereabouts to you at all times? So over the phone I gave Austin my home address three times and he still asked again…obviously he was not listening to what I said to him again. Anyway not happy with my fist encounter with West-Herr BMW and someone in authority needs to train their staff that deals directly with the customer better and try to instill good listening, good problem solving techniques, and phone follow up. If you tell a customer you will do something for them then do it! More
