Since this is a public forum and I do not wish to have my contact information posted publicly I will send you a private email with my contact info. I would also like to make you aware that the apparent, or non-apparent issue according to your dealership, computer issue with this car goes MUCH deeper and is much more SEVERE than previously documented. On October 17, 2016 service visit I reported to your dealership, amongst other issues, that the car would brake on its own sporadically when there were no obstacles within any reasonable vicinity of the car creating reasonable cause. This issue has taken a back seat to the information dash not displaying data since this issue was higher in occurrence and easier to video document. However, yesterday, March 21, 2017, Issues took a much more severe turn for the worse! While stopped at a red light the car unintentionally accelerated with great force and I was put in a position to make a split second decision to cut in front of oncoming traffic or dart across oncoming cross bound traffic. I opted for the first option hoping I would make it safely without endangering any innocent people. Less than 500 feet down the road after the car accelerated without cause the car slammed on the brakes coming to an abrupt dead stop nearly causing a 3 car pileup! So yes, the cars that I narrowly avoided collision with by cutting in front of they once again had to react just as quickly to narrowly avoid slamming into the rear of my vehicle! I was blessed that my youngest child was not in the vehicle at the time and my full attention was focused on driving this out of control vehicle. It took every fiber in my being to drive this vehicle to the closest Honda Dealership. It now remains parked at Brandon Honda. They however refuse to work on or even look at the vehicle because of the history of the car. They also refuse to provide me with a loaner car because I did not purchase the car through them. Now I am forced to rent a car which I cannot afford to do. I am PETRIFIED to get back behind the wheel of that vehicle with substantial cause!! I reported the incident to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. I even have the plate number of the second vehicle that had to swerve around my vehicle to avoid collision. Many innocent people could have been injured during this incident or worse yet killed! I sincerely hope that Wesley Chapel Honda or Honda Corporate does not wait for a fatality to acknowledge there is a SERIOUS safety issue with this vehicle whether or not you are able to replicate the problem or not, the problem does exist and it rapidly got extremely more severe. I believe that Wesley Chapel Honda should TOW the car from Brandon Honda, not DRIVE, and either fix the issue or sell this car off for parts minus any computer components because there is obviously an issue with them that your service technicians are unable to detect. While Wesley Chapel Honda is looking into this vehicle I also feel it is Hondas responsibility to provide me with a loaner car at no charge. This most certainly is not the standard of a safe vehicle that Honda so broadly claims in sales advertising. This is a substandard vehicle that I continue to make monthly on time payments and cannot safely drive without putting my life, my adopted Foster child’s life or lives of other innocent people on the road at risk. In addition my credit card should be reimbursed for the charges you submitted on my card without my authorization on the evening of March 11th 2017 for a loaner that needed roadside assistance 2x. Shameful.
