Lately Kia vehicles have been standing out for durability and performance. I went to Werner Kia wanting to buy a Soul. I had a problem with the purchase. The process took several hours and finished in a hurry, late in the evening. The result was not what I expected. I had to go back the next morning to sort things out. The outcome was that I did not buy the car. I usually don’t like to think bad about people, so I’ll give you my most positive point of view: Being sitting for hours, waiting to close the deal, made us all tiresome and anxious. Apparently, the bank was having trouble handling information. In a hurry to finish the deal, papers were going back and forward to be signed and some papers were left out. That created the problem for which I had to go back the next morning. I have to say that after showing my distress, I was received with a very pro-solving attitude. Unfortunately, we didn’t reach a middle point for both parties and the deal couldn’t be closed. Suggestions: -. Always check thoroughly the car you are interested in. Take it for a ride and try all the features it has and compare it with other cars. -. Always know that under Florida Law, "The advertised price must include all fees or charges that the customer must pay". Florida Statute Section 501.976(16). -. People in the dealer earn their money from commission, They’ll be wanting to tempt you with upgrades, services and whatever they can offer. You must understand what is needed and what is not. Call someone with knowledge to help you sort things out. -. You do not have to give up your right to use the resources available in the judiciary system. You can refuse to sign any document with the word “arbitration”, this is because the dealers don’t like to solve things in court. -. You will be given a bunch of papers, but the only one that really interest you, is the Contract. Start with this one and review every detail. You should always call someone with knowledge and discuss the terms of the contract. Only sign when you are sure. -. The deal can be settled in more than one day if needed. I've been a customer at this dealership since 2009 having purchased several vehicles and going to them for the vast majority of service and repairs and supporting them through the ups and downs of changing o purchased several vehicles and going to them for the vast majority of service and repairs and supporting them through the ups and downs of changing owners 2 times and it seems for the worse. Only going for service the last time I was being pressured into buying a new care with dirty tactics with service telling me one thing and sells telling me something different about my car and its repair. This time I took it in for basic service and check up and needed a repair that was covered by warranty but was told about work that haven't been done on the car which would prevent them from honoring it, even though my car has only be serviced by them and they never told me these things needed to be done. When I mentioned that, I was then told that if I purchased the other repairs found that day I'd then be able to get the item covered by warranty. One week latter I need a new battery. This is the second time this exact same thing has happened. Needless to say I won't be returning to this dealer for service or anything else which is a shame as I want to support locally owned businesses and especially ones such as this that under the original owner had a reputation of really looking out for their customers. I have been waiting 2 months more than what the Warranty Company says I should wait for my refund. The warranty company says I should get the refund from Werner Kia and Werner Kia says good luck on getting my unused portion of the warranty. No one seems to know who is responsible for getting my unused Warranty portion returned. I like Kia products and have not had an trouble with my vehicle, old or new. The only thing about my experience is that I had to go back for extra product information, when maybe it should have been included with transaction papers. More

(burning oil) They conducted a check they sent me out 3 times for a oil check (1000 miles) each times. Third time they kept for fours hours and determine that I needed a new engine. They called and said they would need to provide me with a rental why the continue to finish getting approval for my rental. Next morning they called and said its not cover you want get a rental and these are your options. I have a letter that state I have a Lifetime Limited Powertrain Warranty as long as I own the Car. They refuse to honor it because of change of ownership. And the General Manger Mr. Paul Marmon did not call me back. I guess one customer does not matter when you have plenty. I have Lifetime warranty on this engine. Their excuse for not honoring the warranty is that they are up under new Management. More
