He sold my sister a car ten years ago and remembered the sale, and I was comfortable and happy to give him my business. When I finally took possession of the car he was exceedingly thorough going over all of its features, including setting up my phonebook as well as the navigation and radio settings. The dealership as a whole is trustworthy. I've used their service department for years and the staff there has always been open about a repair that was necessary versus those that could be put off if they were too costly for me. The sales procedure was easy and not overwhelming, which I was worried about because I was purchasing my first brand new car. John made sure I knew exactly what I was getting and exactly how much it would cost. I ended up going in late one day after work about an hour before they were closing. I didn't expect rolling eyes, but since they were about to close, I didn't expect stellar service either. I was pleasantly surprised when Aurelio warmly greeted me and my boyfriend. He never seemed rushed, answered all of our questions, and was super friendly. After visiting other dealerships, I really noticed a difference dealing with Aurelio. I would recommend working with Aurelio if you're looking for someone that is knowledgeable, easy to work with, and low pressure. They also have a great selection of low priced, non-Volkswagon trade-ins. I couldn't have gotten the price I did anywhere else! I'm very happy with my purchase. More
I came to Wellesley Volkswagen with a car that needed repairs. I had bought it at another dealership only 7 months ago and had had nothing but problems, (it was not a Volkswagen dealer). When I assessed the damages, I decided I wanted to trade it in. This meant I needed to roll over what I still owed into a new loan. I was introduced to Andy in sales and he introduced me to a reliable vehicle, a 2007 with only 21000 miles on it. The price was within my budget. Right from the get-go he was thinking of what the most appropriate car on the lot was for me. From there, everything he did to make the deal was thorough. I never felt pressured or rushed into anything. He told me everything I needed to know about the car so I could make an informed decision. When I went back for the registration he told me to sit tight and he filled the tank, got my inspection sticker and left the reg in the glove box with a smile. He was great! While I looked into and test drove cars until I decided to buy a specific Golf, Kevin was kind and helpful, and did not put pressure. He also gave me an honest advice that it could be by far more beneficial to sell my old diesel car myself, since there are people who know that the mileage does not matter much in a well maintained diesel car – however, I decided to trade it in, because I was too busy -. I will visit Wellesley again in my next purchase. I also want to say about a minor thing I like in Wellesley sales website. Wellesley VW gives information about what options each car has. Many VW dealers’ websites do not. In contrast to such US VW dealers’ trend, people can see the exact copy of the Windows sticker online when they are shopping for domestic brand vehicles. More
I started to notice that the check engine light would come on periodically on my '06 Jetta GLI. Then it stayed on, so I brought it to Wellesley VW. Ian had it checked out and they saw a few cylinder mi come on periodically on my '06 Jetta GLI. Then it stayed on, so I brought it to Wellesley VW. Ian had it checked out and they saw a few cylinder misfires, resolved that, cleared the codes and had me back on my way in short order. This was good for a few days, then the check engine light came back on, so we repeated the process. Ian apologized, had it looked at again, and the same thing occurred. The check engine light came back on again after a few days. I called Ian back, and he was very apologetic that this kept occurring and arranged for me to leave the car for a few days and got me a rental so they could get to the bottom of the issue. I was getting quite frustrated with my vehicle, but Ian had a great attitude, was very helpful at each step, and was determined to get this resolved for me. It turned out to be a very difficult situation, and they had to call in an expert from VW to come in a spend some time with it. It was something that was quite rare and turned out to be multiple cylinder misfires that were not easily resolved, but they did. It has been working great for sometime now, and runs better than ever! I have to thank Ian for his helpfulness, great attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond in getting this issue rectified for me. I'm sure it got to be frustrating on his end, but he never made me feel as though he was, and was there each step of the way working on this for me. I know that if I have any issues with my vehicle going forward I would not hesitate to bring it right back to Wellesley VW, and would recommend them to anyone. I would rate John a 5 . He was terrific. The price on the new vehicle was competitve and I got good value on my trade in. I have not used servcie yet so I cannot rate that aspect. We had bought a brand new VW Golf TDI 2011 and had problems with the car stalling. We were looking around for a convenient location, near work (Wellesley College) where we could drop off the car for problems with the car stalling. I called service, introduced myself and explained why we were interested in using Wellesley Toyota. I was not being unreasonably lengthy, and before I was ten words into my talk, he said, in a disintersted voice "How can I help you?" I started again, but was again interrupted. On the face of it, it sounded as if he had not heard a word I was saying, nor could care less. I told him that perhaps I would go back to the other dealer, where, for better and worse, they listened to their customers, paiful as this sometimes may be. That was the end of the conversation. VW in Wellesley may be very competent, but a little empathy would have gone a long way. When your brand new car has a safety problem, you expect a little patient. I do not know his name; he did not offer it. This happened at about 8:50 AM on 16 February. More

I always have my VW serviced at Wellesley because they are always fair on the price and stand behind their work. Whenever I've had any sort of problem, they fit me in that day and either get it repaired are always fair on the price and stand behind their work. They are honest and get the job done for you. If you need to have your car servied, I would recommend taking it to Wellesley VW and asking for Ian. More
