I was interested in trading in my used 2003 Jetta to be able to buy a 2011 Jetta. When I was first came into the dealership Kevin Mullin was the salesman to stand up, shake my hand and ask what I was int able to buy a 2011 Jetta. When I was first came into the dealership Kevin Mullin was the salesman to stand up, shake my hand and ask what I was interested in doing. He understood my needs and wants. I looked at other dealerships to see what they would give me for my used car however nothing compared to the Wellesley dealership and Kevin. I also felt very much at home, having previously bought my '03 Jetta along with 3 other family members buying cars there. He went through the entire car in such detail and answered all my questions in a great manner. I also worked with Anthony Velardo for the business part of the deal and He knew exactly what he was talking about and had a great sense of pride in where he works. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be coming back to Wellesley Volkswagen to purchase another car in the future. More

I spoke with Andy over the phone multiple times before I could make it out to the dealership. He was extremely helpful, informative, and friendly. When my husband and I finally got the chance to come in, he was there waiting for us even though it was well past the end of his work day. Andy offered us a great price, but even though we still weren't 100% sure we wanted to buy the car, he didn't pressure us to buy but instead offered to lock in that price and hold the car so we could think about it over the weekend for a (totally refundable) deposit. Of course we ended up going with the Jetta and haven't regretted it at all. Even though the deal is done and he's not trying to sell us anything else, Andy called the other day to see how the first couple of weeks were and to see if we had any questions. Great service, great car! More

I asked 3 VW dealers in the area for quotes on the VW Sportswagen TDI, and planned to visit the dealer with the best quote. particular were terrific. Note that one dealer, Wellesley Mazda, who I asked the same thing on another car, would not do this. Wellesley VW responded promptly via email as I requested with an aggressive quote. Scott handled the email interaction if Andy was not available. That sort of "backing each other up" is a huge advantage for me, so I can get answers and advice when I call, even if my main person is not there. VW even went so far as to do research on the 1999 Audi A6 Wagon I was trading in, to see if I could keep the snow tires on the rims from my Audi and use those on my new VW. The measured the distance between the lugs! For the test drives, Andy did not even accompany me (I am sure he would have if I asked), trusting that the car would sell itself and that I would prefer to drive without being "sold" at the same time. I went back for a second test drive with my family and he let us take as long as we wanted alone in the car. That made a big difference for my wife, who did the second test drive. In the sale price negotiation, I did not feel pressure. I named a price that I was comfortable with (below the quote on email), and Andy came very close. The trade in was easy - I am comfortable with what they offered me $1,500 vs. Edmunds True Market Value Pricing for dealer trade-in showing $2,000. Given the condition of the car, that seemed far. Overall, I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone interested in a new or used VW. More

I went in with my 3 children after having visited another VW dealer in the area where they had told me one month before they would have the car I was looking for but they didn't and told me I might have to wait another two months to get my second-best choice. John checked his computer to see what dealers in the area had the car with the features I was looking for and was able to get me exactly what I wanted in less than a week, and at a much better price than what the other dealer had proposed to me. No hassle, no haggling games like other dealers like to play. He was also genuinely nice and attentive to my daughters, who the car was really for, and took the trouble to explain every feature of the car to them they day we picked it up. I fully recommend Wellesley VW, and John Nesbitt in particular. It was a real pleasure to do business with him. More

Their opening offer for the new car was within a couple hundred dollars of what I hoped to pay; their trade-in offer after a bit of negotiation was parity with Edmunds. Aurelio and I closed the deal in about 1/2 hour. Even the visit with Anthony, the finance manager, was pleasant and efficient. He met competitive rates immediately (and was even able to beat them a bit). He asked if I would give him five minutes to share additional options. I agreed and he efficiently and persuasively presented the case I'm sure the owner requires he make, even though we both knew in advance I was not going to purchase any of them. All the numbers (Doc fees, taxes, delivery...) were written down at the beginning of the negotiation and remained solid from the moment they were announced. I don't doubt that there could have been a much tougher negotiation and I might have done a couple hundred dollars better, but I don't like that sort of thing and it's not worth my time and aggravation.
