I HATE buying cars. If I didn't, I would probably trade every 3-4 years. As it is, I keep cars for 6 or 7 because I hate the shopping experience so much. Their opening offer for the new car was within a couple hundred dollars of what I hoped to pay; their trade-in offer after a bit of negotiation was parity with Edmunds. Aurelio and I closed the deal in about 1/2 hour. Even the visit with Anthony, the finance manager, was pleasant and efficient. He met competitive rates immediately (and was even able to beat them a bit). He asked if I would give him five minutes to share additional options. I agreed and he efficiently and persuasively presented the case I'm sure the owner requires he make, even though we both knew in advance I was not going to purchase any of them. All the numbers (Doc fees, taxes, delivery...) were written down at the beginning of the negotiation and remained solid from the moment they were announced. I don't doubt that there could have been a much tougher negotiation and I might have done a couple hundred dollars better, but I don't like that sort of thing and it's not worth my time and aggravation. More
