He was organized, and prepared a lot of paperwork in advance. It was worth the drive to Weatherford. Best sales experience ever. Finance manager Julio Perez made the finance paperwork go smoothly and quickly. Then, they don't forget about you, as Chris Phan gave me 2 follow-up calls, just to check if things were still going fine with our car. 1st dealership to have done that for me. My wife was impressed. Our 2009 3-series BMW has been incredibly reliable, so we were set on getting a 2015 5-series. That being said, I'm fairly picky and after reviewing options and photos, I created a specific 535 that I wanted but was not easily found already on a dealership's lot. I began my footwork in Sacramento, only to be continually pressured to buy cars they had on hand that I had no interest in. And even when explaining that I was willing to wait for the car to be delivered from Germany, they still were too thirsty for a quick buck so I moved on. That's when I came into contact w/ Chris Phan. I explained to him that I knew exactly the car I wanted, that I was not willing to compromise on the features I was looking for - NOT because I wanted some fancy bells and whistles, but because I was not willing to pay extra for features I had no interest in. My last criteria was that I did not need the best deal ever, but I did want a fair deal. Chris took all of that and crushed it - He got me an awesome price on the specific 535 that I wanted. It arrived about 8 weeks after our initial conversation, I drove to Berkeley, and drove it right back home. Its a beautiful car, and Chris was a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, it was clear that Chris is a professional. He was not pushy, desperate, nor rude. I submitted my request online and his assistant Natalia and himself responded to my questions within an hour. We came in on a busy Sunday morning and they were able to find a few cars for me to test drive really quickly. We didn't make up our mind on which car to buy that day. Chris was very helpful and found us the exact color and model we like. We came in the next day to test drive and was able to drive off the lot within an hour and half including signing all the paperwork. Would definitely come back for our next car! More

Compared to other dealerships' offers, Weatherford was worth a ~1-1.5 hr drive. I expected the typically stuffy BMW sales experience, but was pleasantly surprised on many fronts. I walked into the showroom on a busy day, and someone at the front desk made it a point to reach out to me to see if I had any questions or wished to speak with someone. At other BMW dealerships, it seems to take an act of God to get someone's attention. I had an appointment with Chris, and he was on-time, handing me over to another individual (Ben) who was more than happy to let me test drive as many cars as I wanted and answer questions without any pressures. Then I spent about 10 minutes with Chris negotiating a deal. He was empowered to make a decision without having to consult the finance manager (which I appreciated from a time perspective). He had previously given me a price quote by email, but I had changed the configuration quite a bit - resulting in me needing a new quote. I ordered my X6, and Chris kept me updated throughout the entire process. As the big day approached, Chris was in contact with me by email letting me know the latest. The "seal the deal" paperwork took a total of about an hour, which was a personal best based on my experiences at other dealerships. The finance director (Katherine) was straight-forward, not pushing extra packages or insurances on me. She was also respectful of my time, which I greatly appreciated. I can't speak for the service department, but the customer sales experience was the best I ever had. Weatherford earned my trust, so much so that I would reach out to Weatherford without any hesitation in the future. I will be back at Weatherford BMW in 3 years for my next vehicle :) More

In comparison, I could not get other sales folks from nearby dealerships to quote me a price over the phone. Finally, upon pickup of my new ride, Chris told me that he had it waxed - the paint was silky smooth! You bet I would buy from Chris again! More

What I did was contacted 3 dealerships via email to get the best pricing. BMW Concord completely ignored my question which was "what is your the best deal for this specific model" and kept on asking me to come in person. BMW San Francisco internet sales guy was really nice and personable but their pricing was pretty good. But it wasn't enough to draw me away from BMW Berkeley. BMW Berkeley had convinced me that this is the place to get my i3 BEV. Chris Phan, the internet manager, was down to earth and without any sales pitch just gave me the straightest answer I wanted to hear. As I said earlier, I don't like to play game and I am bad at negotiating. Meeting him in person and talking to him I felt I wasn't being pushed around and he was patient and down to earth guy. I never had the easiest time in getting a car from a dealership before. I remembered those days where it would take 3 or more hours of haggling to get the price you want. Oh, Chris Phan was very accessible by phone and email. I sent the dumbest questions about the i3 and he would responded within that same day.
