Better than expected Went car shopping with my daughter who was interested in a Lancer. The first dealer we went to gave us a high quote for a base model without AWD. We told Alyse what we were looking for and she gave us a lower price than the first dealer for an SE model with AWD which we accepted. Due to past experience, I'm always leery of what seems to be too good an offer, but at the signing the amount agreed to remained unchanged and things couldn't have gone better. Alyse was great explaining all the details to my daughter and I. We both highly recommend Alyse and Wantagh Mitsubishi. More

Pleasure to deal with no pressure We walked in and meet Alyse one of Mitsubishi's sales team. Alyse was friendly and very pleasant! This is my families forth car from this dealership and that alone says something for them. You walk in there is no pressure and for us that's already a plus. Alyse worked with us to keep us happy! Then she introduced us to Martin what a gentleman he was happy to hear we are previous owners. Martin and Alyse wanted to make our fourth car purchase a great experience, which they did. Alyse explained everything to us about the car took us for a test drive and the rest was history .My son recently went to a dealership that turned him off so bad that he walked right out of the dealership and he really wanted the car so they lost a sale and a customer. Now we brought our son here to Mitsubishi and he is interested in buying his car also from here! I recommend this dealership it's so nice to be treated like family not just another person off the street looking for a car!!! More
One of the good ones So here it is, my review of Wantagh Mitsusbishi buying a used vehicle in June, 2014. I waited a few months before writing any reviews to see if there So here it is, my review of Wantagh Mitsusbishi buying a used vehicle in June, 2014. I waited a few months before writing any reviews to see if there were any problems that may have come up during that time. Thankfully there was none. Entering a dealership to buy a car can be intimidating and difficult, entering a dealer to buy a used vehicle can be an even tougher experience because the dealership has the advantage of knowing about the cars history. it is true that with carfax these days, that buyers can be assured a bit of the cars history, but what about the unreported events, the ones that are discovered later on by the dealership's mechanic upon further inspection. Tack on looking into trading your current vehicle and the task can be quite overwhelming. I had been "keeping an eye" out for a used Outlander for a few months. One came up at Wantagh and with the assurance of excellent reviews all around the internet, I reached out to them. I was connected with John, of the sales team. John and I went back and forth for a few days, until the weekend came and I could make it out there from the Bronx. I mentioned to him about being serious about the car and that I did not want to be jerked around with "dealership fees" and stuff. He emailed me a list of the fees (all reasonable). I also mentioned to him about the current car that I did not necessarily have to trade in to get this car, but that would make it a lot easier. He asked for some basic information and consulted with his trade in guy, Mike, who gave me a firm figure. (Keep in mind, trade-in values suck in general and the business has to make a profit after buying your car, dumping some money into it for repairs and maintenance and listing it in hope to make some money....so yes I get that they will buy a car for 5000 from you, invest another 1000 parts and labor and sell it for 8000 to net 2000 for themselves, again it's a business and I understand and respect that) I was given the price advertised on the car I wanted and via email I was told that because of our communication, that he would knock off a couple hundred. I arrived there and test drove the car with John while Mike drove my car. Got back and began talking. Everything was very straight with no curve xxxxx. They gave me what I was quoted via email on my trade in plus a few hundred more and was given a total of $400 off the used car price. The car by the way was flawless, with a carfax adjustment of +1030, new tires and brakes. Mint condition in and out. Paperwork did not take too long, though the last stretch of the used car process was the warranty walkthrough, which did pressure you a bit, because there seemed to be a warranty available and explained to you for every single part of the car!!! All in all a great experience. They are straight shooters. You get what you see without any crazy fees of curveballs. John and Mike are great and I would highly recommend the dealership to anyone. There are some terrible dealerships out there...I know and I have regrettably given them some business, but this is not one of them. Lastly, my only post-purchase experience was when I emailed John about 2 months after the purchase after not receiving my registration or email. He got back to me promptly saying that the registration was recently mailed out (I got it the next day) and that the title takes some time (I got that about a week later). More
