I went in looking for a new truck and Mike wilkens was my salesperson. I explained everything I was looking for and Mike was extremely helpful. He was not pushy. We had a 2002 Mercury Villager. I had bought new tires & had under carriage work done on it totaling around $1000. Shortly after this the Catalytic Converter went out & I did not want to put anymore money & had under carriage work done on it totaling around $1000. Shortly after this the Catalytic Converter went out & I did not want to put anymore money into it. It had 192,000 plus miles on it. I talked to Walt & told him we needed a 2011 Ford Explorer to fit our needs. They were getting in some Explorer XLT's, Limiteds & Eddie Bauer models. They were a little out of our price range, so Walt located a base model that was in our budget, in Kentucky. He & Justin kept my wife & I informed on when their models came in so the trade could be made (as long as the one in Ky wasn't sold.) Finally, they came in & we worked with Walt & Justin on the details & got the Explorer we wanted & needed. I have grown up in dealerships & know, it would have been very easy to say, this is all we have, take it or leave it. These cars were going to sell anyway, but Walt & Justin went the extra mile to find us what we needed & keep it within our budget. For this we are very greatful & will return to Walt Sweeney Ford for our next vehicle. More
