We’ve purchased from Walser 3 times before and always had GREAT experiences. However, this time was very different. We were at Walser CDJR in Hopkins when we found a used Cherokee online at Walser Toyota GREAT experiences. However, this time was very different. We were at Walser CDJR in Hopkins when we found a used Cherokee online at Walser Toyota. Our salesman (Jesse) took us over there to look at it but Walser Toyota couldn’t find the key…after an hour of so of waiting around we went back to Walser CDJR and drew up a purchase agreement anyway. The plan was for them to cut a new key and we’d come back the following week to test drive it and complete the purchase. We didn’t hear any updates over the weekend and we knew that Jesse had the following Monday off. So Monday we called his manager (Josh) just to get a status update and he informed us the key might get cut on Tuesday, but either way he or Jesse would definitely update us on Tuesday. We didn’t hear anything Tuesday or Wednesday. We were becoming annoyed at the entire process and lack of communication. So on Thursday we called again for an update. Jesse said the key was cut but when he went to drive it back to CDJR it “started slowly”, so he gave it to the service department check it out. On Friday evening I called to see if we could come get it and Jesse informed us that the service department wouldn’t be able to actually get it in for a diagnosis until the following Monday. Extremely frustrated…on Saturday we went to Morrie’s, bought a Honda Passport and asked Jesse to cancel everything. - Poor communication throughout the process. - Losing a key and taking DAYS to cut a new one. - Taking additional DAYS to diagnose a slow start when you already have a signed purchase agreement with the customer. Service staff great. I hate the policy that I had to leave car for 48 hours because it makes me have to rent a car.
