I went in to get my NY state inspection done which was the only service I had scheduled. When i got there they told me that my appointment also included a recall service item which was fine but not someth the only service I had scheduled. When i got there they told me that my appointment also included a recall service item which was fine but not something I had scheduled as I was in a time crunch and only in NY to get this inspection done because I’m out of state for work. After almost 2 hours into what I was told would take about an hour, I asked for an estimated ETA. At that point I was told that the tech made a mistake and the recall service had been done before the NY state inspection which it should not have been and the battery had been disconnected and now the inspection machine wouldn’t read so they were out driving my vehicle to try to get it reset. They came back and said it didn’t work and could I come back in 5 hours and I said no because I was only in town to get this done. So they took it and drove it again. I had to ask for another update an hour later and was told they were still driving it. It still didn’t work. So after being at the dealership for 4.5 hours, that should’ve been 1 hour, the thing I had come there for wasn’t completed and now I’m having to scramble to figure out how to get this inspection done to renew my registration. I felt that more updates could have been given during this process as I had to keep going up and asking about what was going on. Of course I didn’t get charged since the service wasn’t completed. However my car had 100 extra miles on it and all the gas that was used during that drive was gone with no offer to cover that or fill the tank. So technically I paid money to take up 4.5 hours of my time for nothing. There wasn’t even anything offered for the inconvenience, even an oil change or something would have been nice. Everyone working was nice and I understand mistakes happen but that was a big one that ruined the rest of my day because it put me so far behind that I had to cancel plans I had. I felt that the way the mistake was being talked about was meant to minimize it, and I’m in a customer service industry so i understand, but when someone is frustrated the worst thing you can do is try to make their concern seem minimal. I bought my car from this dealership so I was just disappointed in how it was handled overall. More
I received a notice that my 2020 Nissan Rogue was due for its first 5,000 mile service and made an appointment to have it done. Not only were they helpful in giving me an appointment within a couple days but its first 5,000 mile service and made an appointment to have it done. Couple extra nice points were being able to watch a video of what they were checking on my car and highlight of the day was running into Nicky my sales person.
