I went here on Saturday with my mother to help her buy a new car. For nearly a year she's been interested in replacing her old 1990 Legacy and after months of research decided upon a 2013 Impreza. She's never bought a new car before, or for that matter any car on her own, so I volunteered to help her through the process (I've owned and bought at least a few cars over the years and consider myself experienced in this area). After emailing several local dealers to get price quotes, she decided on an Impreza Sport Premium hatchback they had in inventory at Walker's. We met with Jason, one of the sales guys with whom she'd been exchanging emails, when we arrived. He was very outgoing and friendly, and took the time to answer all of my mother's questions before proceeding with the sale. The price was as agreed, and after completing the sale, which took less than an hour, Jason was patient enough to walk her through all of the car's features. Mind you, my mother's not the least bit tech savvy and It can be very frustrating to teach her anything remotely technological - even using my dishwasher is a challenge for her. Nonetheless, Jason went out of his way to make sure she was familiar and comfortable with her new car and really helped make her first time car purchase a positive experience. I can't speak to quality of this dealership's other sales representatives or service department, but Jason was great. I feel its important to recognize people who exceed expectations as did Jason in our experience. If you decide to consider a new Subaru at Walker's, I recommend that you contact Jason Takahashi. I really enjoyed my whole experience. This was the only dealership in the puget sound that didn't charge an extra $2-3000 over sticker for a trailer fee. I had a great experience with Walker Subaru. I did had a referral, and the team did a great job of meeting my needs. I am a single mom. On top of it all, I am a teacher with a small salary and about to leave work to complete my student teaching and earn my master's degree. Clearly I needed someone who was forthright and a team who could put me in a safe, reliable car that I wouldn't have to sink any money into the moment I drove off the lot and that wouldn't cost me a huge amount of money in the first place when I don't have much money to spare. Roman really came through for me. I test drove a chevy first and didn't really like it. Then I test drove a mazda3 that felt really good. It was a 2008, a few years newer than I thought I could get into. I took a night to think on it and the next day was given what I felt was a very fair deal on the car, including a great amount for my trade in. I worked with Jerry initially, and then Roman finished the deal with the car. Both were very friendly and listened to my needs and concerns. Furthermore, after purchasing the car, Roman has remained available and informative for a few questions I've had since driving the car. I feel like I can call him any time and he will do his best to meet my needs fairly. I am still getting used to the way the car drives and sounds (much different from my old, dying van!) and so far the car has been great for me and my concerns have been met candidly when they pop up since driving the car. Alden was also great. He was able to get a much better interest rate for me than a bank I was working with that enabled me to afford an additional warranty on the car, making it that much less stressful to drive away, knowing I am covered especially during this incredibly busy time in my life.
