Walkers Renton Subaru

Do these cars require $15000 a year to maintain? My wife and I bought a 2013 Outback from this dealership. I thought it was a good quality car that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to own and maintain. The service center is constantly charging very large amounts to "check and top off fluids" or is always asking us to change all the fluids or get new brakes or perform some other maintenance that is dubious in its need. If I let them do all they say is needed to be done then these cars are lemons or at least a car that needs constant care. Maybe a BMW is cheaper!?! Maybe the dealership sales and the service center should get together to determine whether they are selling expensive to maintain cars or "good buys". I wonder what Subaru USA will think about this conundrum. More

Started out as fairly good deal but it only gets better. The Costco Auto Program price is supposedly around $300.00 below dealer’s invoice price. Upon further research I found the same vehicle selling for $1000.00 less to the surprise of the Costco Auto Program Dealer Representative, Trey Castles. Trey was curious and did some additional research to determine how a competitor could be selling the same vehicle(s) so far below the Walker’s Renton Subaru/Costco Auto Program negotiated price. He discovered and I verified the dealer advertised price was incorrect; however the competitor’s actual selling price was still below the Costco Auto Program price. In the end, we settled on the lower price of his competitor plus another $212.00 discount. So, overall great relation’s with Trey and would highly recommend Costco members giving him a chance to offer you a very competitive price on a new Subaru. I met with the Finance Manger, Lap Nguyen to finalize the deal. Decided to purchase the Extend Warranty Program and also the 36K Maintenance Plan. After reviewing the Extend Warranty Program details I decided to cancel it 2 days later. Lap handle the paperwork with no sells pitch as to why I should keep the Extended Warranty…the way it should be. Overall, very professional experience with no BS sells pitch. Highly recommend Walker’s Renton Subaru and their Costco Auto Program Representative, Trey Castles. I have purchased 5 new vehicles over the years and this by far was the best walk away experience I have ever had. However, do your homework, it’s worth it! BTW: When you pull into the parking area don’t let the appearance of a line of sales personal intimidate you…they are friendly and will assist you to get to Trey’s office. More

WORSE DEALERSHIP I'VE EVER DEALT WITH... They said I'm approved, then went to finance then they said needed a co-signer, had my mom co-signed, agreed on numbers, went to finance & signed pape They said I'm approved, then went to finance then they said needed a co-signer, had my mom co-signed, agreed on numbers, went to finance & signed papers. 4 days later, they called saying banks didn't approve & they wanted to car back. I dont understand why they let things like this happen. Why do they even let you take a car home then call you a few days back saying you have to return it. We had to go back 4 times. Time wasted, credit pulled multiple times. I had to go straight to the dealership to return the car after getting released at the hospital. Manager called ! Said they said to take it back to the dealer & they will swap it with another vehicle & when we got to the dealer, he made it seem like he's doing us a big favor by trying to get us approved on a lower amount vehicle, but they should be doing it in the first place since theyre the one who made a mistake. I just cant believe this happened. They gave me assurance that I will get approve no matter what right when I walked in to check the car I want. Sales rep even said I didnt need a co-signer AT ALL just basing on my credit. I just had a c-section 2 weeks ago then admitted again at the hospital 3 days ago & this is what I dealt with. SUBARU PEOPLE, please don't let this happen to anyone in the future. It's really not a fun feeling.... More

Best car buying experience ever! When I first came to Walker's, I was immediately greeted by Diane, quite possibly the nicest saleswoman I have ever met. I told her what I was looking for, an impreza with a very moderate lease, and she went to work. Not only did she find and secure the exact model, color and transmission that I wanted, (which apparently is incredibly hard to come by) but she also bent over backwards to work the numbers so I could have the lowest possible payment within my comfort zone. No pressure whatsoever. She took the time to go over and explain absolutely everything leaving no stone unturned, and didn't push me to make any decisions I wasn't comfortable with. So, if you want a truly honest and comfortable car buying experience with no sleazy gimmicks, I highly recommend you visit Diane and the friendly folks at Walker's. You won't regret it!!! More

On the fourth business day, I was called and informed that no, my financing had not been approved and they were still trying to close the deal. I became worried and contacted my sales person, Nick, who informed that all was well and this was merely a formality. The next week, after having had the car for nearly 10 days, I was called by another staff in finance to tell me that they had finally closed the financing and now, I would be paying $200 more per month! Unbelievable scam going on here. I promptly retrieved my current lease and am in the process of buying a Toyota instead - and, because they (Toyota) didn't want me to go through what I just described, they assured me I was approved then and there on the spot. Shop around, there are ethical and upstanding dealerships out there; this isn't one of them. More
