Transmission problem We purchased a 2008 Subaru on Sunday. The salesman said they performed 125-point inspection before putting it on sale. The next day I drove, the CHECK We purchased a 2008 Subaru on Sunday. The salesman said they performed 125-point inspection before putting it on sale. The next day I drove, the CHECK ENGINE light was on, along with several other lights flashing (oil temp, cruise control, and airbag). We informed Walker's Subaru of this issue and had the car independently inspected at another Subaru dealer. The inspection report shows transmission related issue and recommended valve body replacement. Walkers offered to fix it and returned the vehicle back to us saying the transmission issue has been fixed. We took the car but the CHECK ENGINE light was on again the same day. The manager spoke to us on the phone, saying we did not purchase warranty so we should accept problems. I said we took the risk of pre-owned car but having a car unsafe to drive on the road due to dysfunctional transmission while the dealer claimed "fully serviced" is not acceptable. We were also told by the independent inspection that Walkers Subaru placed a transmission module part that is inconsistent with the vehicle's VIN. We are very disappointed at Walker's Renton Subaru. Selling an unsafe vehicle with dysfunctional transmission and denying the problem is not what a reputable dealership would do. More

First Experience With Walker Subaru's Service Department I had purchased the rear seat protector as an option and received a call that it had arrived and was ready to be installed on my 2018 Forester. Every I had purchased the rear seat protector as an option and received a call that it had arrived and was ready to be installed on my 2018 Forester. Everything went without a problem and I was out in about an hour. They even washed and vacuumed the car, as well as answered some general questions I had. After I returned home, I had another general question and called Kevin Clark. He was at lunch when I called, but promptly returned my call when he returned. Very friendly and accommodating. More
