Once I met Michael felt I could trust him, he was straightforward, friendly, honest, trustworthy. Truly it was my experience with Michael that made my purchase possible. I hope he gets acknowledged for work well done! I'm submitting a 4 star overall due to finance department. It was difficult to get a firm 'out the door' number and that was frustrating. I asked a direct question and did it took me quite a while to get a firm direct answer/number. Nevertheless I trusted Michael to get me out the door with the vehicle. More
I went to Walker's Renton on my first day out testing driving for a new car. I was honest and up front with the sales person that it was my first day out test driving, that I was very early in my new car driving for a new car. I test drove a new Forester with a sales agent and was very happy with that process, although during the test drive he did feed me many typical sales lines, but that is somewhat to be expected. Once the test drive was over, he was extremely pushy with me and tried to get the sale. At this point I wasn't even sure I was going to be buying a Subaru. I adamantly said, 'No, I will not be driving off the lot with a new car tonight, there isn't anything that you can do to change my mind'. He then brought out his manager, his manager tried to get me to purchase that night, again. I said no. Then they very rudely turned their backs on me and went back inside. Later that week, after more research, I ultimately made up my mind that I did want to purchase a Forester, tried to contact Walker's to honor the fact that they took the time to test drive with me, and they essentially ghosted me. No one returned my emails. I even went through the Costco Car program and was referred to Walker's through that, and still got no response. I ended up buying a Forester from another local dealer. Walker's lost my sale by only being focused on pushing me to buy that night, when I vehemently expressed that I was not ready to buy yet. Very poor business model to completely ignore the customer who said they were going to buy in the next few weeks. There are plenty of other Subaru dealers in the area, shop somewhere else, not with Walkers. More

Great experience buying my new Outback. Robert Duitch got us everything we were looking for and for a great price. He called us the day prior to the appointment and then met us the next day with exactly what us everything we were looking for and for a great price. I have had a rough go around with Walker’s Renton and I wish I had been more informed before I bought. Sales: Or original sales person was not knowledgeable about the product. He was not able to answer questions about the cars, so they passed us off to Kyle. Kyle was great. Knew the product really well and worked with the dealership to get a good deal, but since he was pulled in last minute for the sale, he was unable to go over the product with us. Overall, Kyle has been the best person to work with at Subaru. The one issue I have is that they sold me a Subaru with a broken part and refuse to fix it. I highly, highly suggest going through each button and open each thing to ensure nothing is broken, because they may not disclose this information. Finance has been a nightmare. We were rushed through the process and the gap coverage and extended warranty were sort of thrown at us without a good explanation. Don’t get gap coverage. Your insurance has it for WAY cheaper. That isn’t the part I’m upset about. I bought my car in September and traded in my Volkswagen. They didn’t pay off the lean, despite that being part of our agreement. I called mid October and stopped by the store to let them know and they didn’t look into it, so it is now two payments gone unpaid and they did not apologize for the mistake. I have been on and off the phone with them and was not impressed at how they handled this at all. Service does not communicate well with sales. The part that was broken they originally thought was covered by warranty, so they started off willing to help, but they are horrible at quoting the time it will take for service. Alex is wonderful and if you need additional help he is a great communicator, but overall I hope this team works to have better communication. Since then, I’ve been working with Carter Subaru in Ballard and I highly recommend them. They are a well oiled machine and communicate really well. Weigh your options prior to buying, but Walker made a really exciting time in my life quite the nightmare More
I’d been car shopping for a couple months, did my research, compared different cars, went to numerous dealerships while I considered what I wanted/didn’t want in a car and when I was finally ready to research, compared different cars, went to numerous dealerships while I considered what I wanted/didn’t want in a car and when I was finally ready to buy a car, I went to Walkers Mazda since two friends recommended it. Gotta say, really really pleased working with Walkers Renton Mazda. Christian Gonzalez went above and beyond to help me find and get the car I wanted and in the price range I was looking for (love the car!) Christian was super informative and knowledgeable; answered all of my many, many questions. His manager and the gal in finance were also really wonderful. Highly recommend this dealership and working with Christian! Love my car!:) More
