We purchased a VOLVO S-40 recently and have been very satisfied with this purchase. We traded this vehicle in last week on another used VOLVO. It was our understanding that the vehicle we purchased was fully in operation at the date of our purchase. I would like to resolve our issues soon. I am a Canadian citizen and my family and I were vacationing in Virginia Beach during the first two weeks of August. However, during the second week of our vacations, the check engine light came on much to our concern. We brought the car to Freedom Volvo and placed it in the good hands of Mr. Kevin Brink, Service Advisor. He was very professional and quick to get a technician (Bruce) to look at what might be the trouble, fitting us in what was already a fully booked day at Freedom. A faulty sensor was quickly identified as the source of the problem. Mr. Brink proposed that we make an appointment for a replacement the next day. However, since we had to leave for Montreal, we couldn’t go along. Kevin assured us that we could drive back safely without any risk or worry and recommended that we pay a visit to our local Volvo dealer upon arrival. Much to our pleasure and surprise, the service was free of charge. I brought my car in for a state inspection first thing in the morning. Kevin took care of the necessary paperwork quickly.
