Looking to purchase and Audi Q5. Submitted inquiry form through Audi USA site. Very quick response. Shawn was our sales rep who was absolutely awesome. A few quick points: 1) Apparently Audi Q5 is a very popular vehicle so they tell you up front that they will only reduce the sticker price by $500. 2) You have to deal with a "manager" who you don't actually see initially. We were trading in a 2008 Volvo XC90 with 32k miles in perfect condition. I came prepared with the black book trade-in estimate which estimated my vehicle at $24k - $26k. I also reviewed current retail value on different volvo lots on a vehicle like mine which are selling for about $32k. The "manager" offered $20K!!!! I told Shawn that I was insulted. He went back to the "manger" at which point we were pulled into his office. He gave a song and dance on why he can only offer 20k. He said that he has to go by auction prices....didn't know that. He pulled up auction prices on his computer and found a similar vehicle selling for 26k and was willing to go up a couple thousand. At this point we were disgusted and left. I will NEVER go there again. It was beyond ridiculous. More
We have serviced our car at Fathers and Sons for years, and when it came to getting a new Volvo, we called them first. We then shopped around, and they really did give us the lowest price they could and were very competitive with larger dealers. Their trade-in deal was competitive as well. Plus they really went out of their way to get us a car in the color we wanted which was tricky as it was model year end clearance. Everyone was really extremely professional and helpful and they were honest and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them. More
As a single woman purchasing a used car I was quite nervous and skeptical about working with a dealership to get a fair price for a vehicle. I knew I wanted a wagon and was attracted to the Audi Avant but did not know how to approach the process. I went on the web and read dealership reviews. Father's and Son's got a very favorable rating from many of its customers so I went there despite the fact that there was a dealership closer to my home. It was not primarily the car that sold me but the friendliness, kindness, and genuineness of the salesperson, Stephen Langieri. He was not the stereotypical car salesman who many fear are out to make a quick sale regardless of the soundness or reliability of the vehicle. We established an instant rapport and I felt immediately I was in good hands. The week before I had visited a car dealership in the Albany area and walked out before even driving a car because of the salesperson's aggressive, disingenuous sales pitch. Between Stephen and Murray Fanning, the General Sales Manager, my experience was actually pleasant. I found just the car I was looking for and felt no pressure to purchase it until a price that we both felt was fair was arrived at ( with a little help from my son). I have decided to drive the extra 30 minutes to get my car serviced at this dealership due to the faith that I now have in this establishment in general. I am now the proud owner of a great car due to the efforts put forth by a great dealership!!! More
In our quest for a new 2011 Volvo XC90, we visited three neighboring Volvo dealerships and spoke to countless dealers from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania. We eventually purchased our Volvo at Father and Son neighboring Volvo dealerships and spoke to countless dealers from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania. We eventually purchased our Volvo at Father and Sons even though there are other dealers that are closer and more convenient for us. The decision was made to drive the extra distance to West Springfield because from the very first call to picking up the car, the salesperson we dealt with, Mark Koblanski, treated us with respect, was attentive to all the details, and never used the usual car salesman tactics. He was always courteous, timely, and responsive to all our inquiries. While we vacillated back and forth between purchasing the XC60 and XC90, Mark was extremely helpful in providing us information on both cars. When we finally decided to purchase the XC90, Mark gave us an unbelievable deal on the exact car we wanted without adding unwanted options or having to haggle back and forth over the price. We were able to close the deal and pick up the car within a week. The car was ready and in pristine condition just as Mark said it would be. In the past 30 years, we have purchased many new cars, but Mark was heads and shoulders above the other salespeople we have dealt with in the past. As unbelievable as it sounds, there are car sales people with integrity and honesty and Mark is one of the few around. We must also mention Rick Kovalsick in the finance department. Rushing up to Springfield after work to sign papers was not high on our list after an exhausting work day for both my husband and me. When we arrived, Rick was prepared and had all the paperwork ready for our signatures. In our car buying experience, the finance office is the place numbers need to be scrutinized for hidden costs, but this was not the case at Fathers & Sons. Rick patiently explained in detail the paperwork and went over all the numbers. We were pleasantly surprised when we found all information correct and the numbers were exact without any hidden additions. Our experience with Rick confirmed that Fathers & Sons was a dealership that was honest and easy to work. We have been enjoying our new Volvo XC90 for a week now thanks to Fathers & Sons. We will not hesitate to return there to purchase our next car. We highly recommend buying a car from Mark Koblanski at Fathers and Sons in West Springfield. We still can't believe the entire transaction was as quick, easy and pleasant as it was. Why can't all dealerships be like this??? Thanks Mark & Rick!!! More

He's there for any questions that come up before or after the sale. He makes what others consider an ordeal into a relaxed, pleasant experience. We have bought new and used cars from Vinnie. Like a good realtor, Vinnie wants to know what we're looking for, what's important to us, what our price range is. Then he finds the cars that fit the bill. Once or twice we asked Vinnie to be on the lookout for a particular used model, which of course he did. One of the best cars we ever owned was a used Volvo XC70 he sold us! Recently we were looking for a used XC70. Vinnie showed me an '08 that was mint, very low mileage, great price. My wife wasn't with me or I would have bought it. When I called Vinnie a few days later to bring my wife in to see and presumably purchase that car, I mentioned that we should probably also look at a new XC70, since some reports were suggesting that you could buy a new car for less than a similar used car. With the new Volvo warranty and the price Vinnie quoted us, we opted to buy the new car, albeit having to let go a terrific used one. Buying a new (or used) car doesn't have to be a chore, with upset, stress, or unpleasant negotiating only to hear that the boss can't possibly let it go at that low price... Our car purchases, maintenance and eventually trade-ins have been a pleasant experience at Father's & Sons, with Vinnie Fusaro. More

When we walked into the dealership this time, we were looking to downsize our car pmt, and thus car because we had a decrease in household income. Murray Fanning was suer to work with, as was Ray Wells. They found a Volkswagon Jetta pretty much the same color as my XC 90 and with all the basic options we were looking for I am satisfied wth my used 2007 Jetta...but will beb back to the dealership to purchase another Volvo when te timing is right! Five star dealership!! More
