A pleasant and professional car buying experience. That's how I would describe my purchase of a Volvo at Fathers and Sons. I felt that Derek, the sales representative, actively tried to get us the best pricing available and based on the expected car pricing information I had from Consumer's Report, did so. But beyond pricing, he gave us excellent personal service. My wife and I had driven several hours to get there and once the decision was made to purchase, rather than have us return another day to pick up the car, he made sure that financing, insurance coverage, and registration all got done in time for us to take the new car home. Even though it was getting late, he patiently took the time to go over all the details of driving the car, using the electronics, and even syncing my wife's cell phone. All in all. I am satisfied that the extra effort it took to get there was well worth it both in terms of service and price. More
All level of service to date have been outstanding. The car was delivered as promised on Monday. Unfortunately the "check engine" light went on Tuesday and it appears to be transmission related. I purchased a VW CC and it was not delivered on time. I had to wait almost a week to get it. I was very unhappy with the process. I was told that they did not have the plates ready, funnding, as well as others things? I work about 12 hours a day and went to the dealership before work and spent about 3 hours with them going over the car and giving them a $5000.00 deposit. I belive they were just trying to get the sale and numbers for the Memorial Day weekend and forgot the customer! I have been in Logistics dealing with customers all my life and never not followed through with a customer for a positive or negative issue. With the economy struggling to gain a foothold and companys trying to perserve what customers are loyal I believe they (Fathers & Sons) dropped the ball. My passenger door is now squeeking (certified used car), and the saleman told me that I had the next oil change for free during the sale, this was not true. He seemed have to always try to find out answers from someone instead of taking ownership of what he was saying. It is very important to take accountibillity for you are doing. This letter is not meant as a negative issue rather a learning tool that should be used in training. As for my Oil change and door squeeking I am very upset. This tells me that there service department did not do there inspection properly and also I am out of " I Owe You" from a oil change. More
