Took my girlfriends car into the dealer for an oil change and left a small OBD2 scan dongle in the cup holder. Was missing when I got home and grabbed the keys from the console. Called and left a voicemail, texted, and emailed the service advisor with no response for over a week and also called and left a voicemail with the service manager with no response. Called again and was basically told we looked at our cameras and saw nothing plus service advisor said he didn’t see it in there when he checked the car in so we can’t prove it was taken plus our policy is we’re not responsible for valuables in the car. It isn’t a matter of cost as the item is about $35-40 it’s being blown off that is unacceptable to me. So definitely make sure if you go there don’t leave anything in the car at all. You definitely may not get it back and they will not care to respond to your asking about it. More
