In February 2011, I purchased a Volvo C30 using the Overseas Delivery program. This program included a discount on the car price plus a trip to the Volvo factory in Gothenburg, Sweden to take delivery Overseas Delivery program. The program calls for Volvo to provide you with two airline tickets, one night hotel in Gothenburg (three nights if you already own a Volvo), tour of the factory, 2 weeks of car insurance and shipping back to the States. I built my car from the ground up and picked up MY car in Sweden. My husband and I drove my car around southern and central Sweden and dropped it back off at the Volvo factory where it was shipped to the dealership four weeks later (which actually was a week sooner than expected). There are several options for delivery of car and travel in Europe, so you can make the trip fit your travel desires. I highly recommend the program. You should note that a trip paid for on Volvo's dime will not allow for further negotiation on the price of the car. I absolutely love my new car! Tom Calkins was a pleasure to work with! In 2006 I purchased my 2006 XC70 Volvo from Suntrup Dealership and have had nothing but great service both in the purchase of the car and the service. At the time of purchase my 80 year old mother nee Dealership and have had nothing but great service both in the purchase of the car and the service. At the time of purchase my 80 year old mother needed to find a car that she could easily sit down in on the passage side. The saleman took my mother to all the different show room cars and had her sit in each one until she found the right height which was the XC70 that I purchased. She was so impressed that he took the time to make her happy. The service department is always willing to work with you on scheduling a visit and if something needs replacement they inform you completely on what it is and why it needs to be fixed. The waiting room is pleasant to sit in with it's large window view of new Volvos outside. The overall experience has been great! More
