Soon after we arrived at West County, we hit the jackpot when Tom Calkins greeted us. Within minutes, I could feel the stress melt away as Tom's intuitiveness and attention to detail quickly helped us zone in on the perfect S60. He was such a pleasure to work with and went out of his way to show us multiple vehicles. On the day that we picked up our new car, he set everything up for us in the car, even making some adjustments to settings to ensure the car's features were how we wanted them and so that we didn't have to read the manual first to change them ourselves. His passion for Volvo made me go from "stressed" to "excited" about shopping for a new Volvo. He even followed up with us the next day (a Sunday) to make sure everything was going well with the new car and to see if we had any questions. Everyone we worked with at West County was knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about Volvo, and we liked the fact that most of the staff had worked there a number of years. We were also very impressed by the selection of in-stock Volvos that West County had to offer. The cars were meticulously clean inside and out. First Rate Online Buying Experience! I was in the market for the new Volvo XC90 and had no luck finding one with the features I wanted and for the price I could afford where I live. I found one online at WC Volvo and submitted an inquiry and received a response back from Ken on the same day. Ken was always very responsive and answered all my questions whenever I called or emailed; and after finalizing the sale, Ken even agreed to come pick us up at our hotel on a Sunday and spent time going over all of the features of the vehicle and answering any additional questions. He treated us like any regular customer during normal business hours, and did not appear to be put out or inconvenienced in the least bit. However, having just purchased a used 2016 Toyota Sienna from West County Volvo this week, I'm very happy to report that I was truly pleased with the company’s attitude and service throughout the entire process! Sales manager Stephen Lynch was honest with me, when my vehicle of interest was out “at the lake” for the weekend, and not immediately available for a test drive. When it became available a few days later, he was very prompt and courteous in notifying me… all things that I truly appreciated. When the time came to hand me off to a sales person, he paired me up with Jim Portner, who was excellent. Jim seemed to immediately understand the sort of no-nonsense shopper which I tend to be. He impressed me by being forthright and honest regarding the used Sienna, my own trade-in vehicle, and every other aspect of the car buying process. In short, Jim was terrific! I wanted this model car and decided based on test driving the same model but different car, the description, price, ability of Ken to negotiate with me and pictures. Ken communicated with me daily and I setup time to pick it up. I was a little apprehensive but when I saw the car I was quite surprised. It exceeded my expectations in every way.
