Just bought (leased) a brand-new S90 from Tom Calkins. There's a reason he's the top guy in the country. He's fun, knowledgable, an expert, proactive and always on the move. I have bought A LOT of cars and my experience was so good with both the sales and service (and the car - a 2012 S60 T6) from West County Volvo that I came back to do it again. That's the first time in my life I've been a repeat customer at a car dealer. Everyone at this dealership is top-drawer - Steve, the sales manager, Matt and Ken in the finance office, and as previously stated, Tom Calkins is the best there is. Spectacular West County Volvo experience! After 12 years, I finally realized it was time to part with my Volvo XC 90. I had 116,000 miles and a wonderful partnership with my first Volvo. Lots of memories with family and friends and a wonderful driving experience. Since purchasing my first Volvo 12 years ago, my life is very different. I'm retired, have older grandchildren, do a lot of volunteering and traveling. So when I made the decision to buy a new car, a friend recommended West County Volvo, where she had a great experience purchasing a 2017 XC90. On a gray Sunday afternoon, Tom Calkins was in his office and noticed my husband and I looking at the Volvos on the West Co. lot. The dealership was closed. But he immediately came out of his office and introduced himself and showed us several new 2016 & 2017 XC 60's, the model I was interested in. Tom spent a lot of time with us and answered our many questions. I found one of the 2017 XC 60's that met all my criteria. Tom invited us back to drive this particular car at our convenience. He was never pushy, but listened to my thoughts and concerns and was very respectful. We made an appt. and returned to test drive the car the following week. We wound up trading my old Volvo and purchasing a 2017 XC 60. The dreaded process with negotiating the deal went very well. Tom was professional and courteous throughout negotiations. There is a reason he has been the #1 Salesperson for 17 years! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Volvo. I am obviously not one who parts with her car easily. He made it a little easier to say goodbye. I plan to enjoy my second Volvo as much as the first one! It was just serendipity that Tom was there that Sunday we stopped by to look at Volvos. We were very lucky indeed! I will recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, respectful and professional Volvo salesperson. More

This time, it's a Volvo A few years ago I was in need of a new car after an accident. WC Volvo had a cute little Lexus, barely used, that fit my needs. Tom was my salesmen. Tipically, as a women, you can feel mislead. That was not the case. Fast forward to current time and the need for something new and a few more needs arose. Based on my experience I went back to Tom. He was able to check off my needs with a brand new S60, packaged just the way I wanted. I was in and out in with no hassles. I am not for sure, but I just may be Volvo4Life. More

Totally frustrated. Had to take car to another Volvo Dealer This review concerns the Service Department, not the Sales Department. WCV had issues diagnosing the problem with my vehicle. There was a total lack of follow up by Service Manager. He promised to get my car in as soon as possible. It's be two weeks, and he still has not called. I ended up taking my car to another Volvo dealership who diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. They kept me informed by sending periodic updates by text (Great Idea). They really seemed happy I had brought them my car for service. As for the Service Center rating below, I would rate this past event as poor. Overall (3 year period) I would rate WCV as Fair. More

Great Experience I originally came to the dealership to see a used vehicle from another automaker and was introduced to Tim Edwards. I have never owned a Volvo or given them much consideration in the past, but when I showed an interest Tim took the time to show me what I had overlooked. The S60 I was interested in is a great car. Tim was genuine and personable and clearly enthusiastic about Volvo. Ultimately, the S60 was not the right fit, but Tim was just as enthusiastic about the original car that brought me in. That enthusiasm may come easily on a used car lot that looks curated to only include vehicles in great condition. Even though the car was already listed at a great price, Tim went to bat to get the deal I asked for. The same cannot be said for other salesmen/dealerships I worked with during this search. I would recommend Tim and West County Volvo highly and may have to return one day to buy a Volvo! More

Tim (and Matt) were both professional, nice and we never felt like they were trying to "sell" us. TIm wanted to help us find what we needed. No gimmicks.
