Unsatisfactory Visit I have been a client with Herb Gordon Volvo for at least 10 years and in 2017 purchased a Volvo XC60. I have consistently received top notch service. I have been a client with Herb Gordon Volvo for at least 10 years and in 2017 purchased a Volvo XC60. I have consistently received top notch service. However, on yesterday I took my 2017 in for the 40K mile service and had several issues during the visit. My prior service reps Mike VanHausan and Dana were amazing but are no longer with the company. Yesterday, the service representative, Mr. Espejo, seemed indifferent about my visit. The list of issues from yesterday’s visit is listed below (unfortunately, it’s not just one). (1) The woman who facilitated the loaner car transaction was extremely unprofessional. I have used loaner cars from Herb Gordon Volvo for 10 years and updated insurance information is in the system, despite presenting my insurance card, she was very rude when I mentioned that the information is likely in the system. In a very abrasive tone she mentioned, “I’m just doing my job.” She tossed my insurance card and license back on the counter after she was done. Appalled, I almost walked out of the establishment, but assumed she was simply having a bad morning. (2) Tyler was great, communicated via text while my car was in service. However, upon my return to pick up the car, Mr. Espejo was once again indifferent and dismissive; he simply referred me to the area for payment. HE DID NOT EVEN COME OVER TO DISCUSS WHAT SERVICES WERE PROVIDED! Usually the service team member reviews the service in detail. However, Tyler took the lead. Prior to leaving, I saw Mr. Espejo review the service for another customer. (3) I had a coupon, presented to Mr. Espejo during drop off which is routine, but that was not applied to the bill. The manager took care of this immediately, after I caught the issue. (4) A service light for tire pressure was not addressed. This is a routine service that was overlooked. Again, the manager expeditiously drove the car back to the garage to have it addressed. I usually don’t submit these reviews but the service that I received yesterday was such a stark contrast from my past experiences. I hope it had nothing to do with my baseball cap and sweats, as I usually drop off in professional attire – but unfortunately I am not so confident AND it really shouldn't matter! Customers spend considerable money to service Volvo cars that are known for safety and reliability. I hope this review is helpful in providing feedback to all Herb Gordon team members. Great Service Experience I just wanted to pass on the great experience that I recently had with Jose. I had an issue with my car that arose over the weekend and I called Jose I just wanted to pass on the great experience that I recently had with Jose. I had an issue with my car that arose over the weekend and I called Jose at 8:00 on Monday morning knowing that they would probably be busy, but he told me to go ahead and bring the car in which I did at 10:30. Based on the symptoms I gave him, he was able to correctly diagnose the problem. By the time I finished the paperwork for the loaner car, it was waiting for me. Jose warned me that it may not be ready until Tuesday so I was pleasantly surprised to get a call at 4:00 that it would be ready at 6:00! And while it was there they noticed that a tag light bulb was out and replaced it. Finally, once I paid my bill my car was waiting for me freshly washed and vacuumed. I should note that there's another dealership half the distance to my home, but I still choose to go to Herb Gordon for the superior service that they provide and I trust them. More

He was very professional and to the point, regarding which additional services, my S80 required. I received a written estimate, which clearly outlined, what needed to be done, as well as the cost.. The services were performed and I was on my way. Although I didn't plan to spend that additional money, I am glad I was able to get that item(something about the engine not being secure)handled. That was my second time using the service department and I will return again. I feel confident the work performed, was of the highest quality. The service area is very clean and the waiting room is nice as well. More
