This was a very unique experience. Jim was in touch wiht me thruought the entire time. Both he and Craig went beyond what would be normally expected. I have become an advocate of Volvo's CPO program and now have two Certified Volvo's. I would recommend Jim and Herb Gordon Volvo to anyone interesed in a New or Used Volovo. More

The dealer finally got the part in, so I expected my perfect new car when I went to pick it up from the shop after work. However, the seat is now in worse condition than when I dropped it off. The part may be new, but the work is shoddy and was done incorrectly. To top things off, the sales manager was rude- he would not acknowledge the shoddy work and he would not commit to seeing through a satisfactory conclusion. My initial sales experience was good, but don't accept any car from them unless it is pristine- and don't take it there for service. More
As a female, car shopping can be rather intimidating. Having visited other dealerships in the area prior to visiting Herb Gordon, I was anxious due to previous experiences - hard sells, pushy or unrespon Having visited other dealerships in the area prior to visiting Herb Gordon, I was anxious due to previous experiences - hard sells, pushy or unresponsive sales people. But from the moment I stepped in Herb Gordon Volvo, I felt like a valued customer. I was warmly greeted by the pleasant and friendly sales manager, Craig Kates, who introduced me to my enthusiastic sales rep, George Awad. Despite being relatively new, George was very knowledgable about the car I was interested in, and took great care to make sure that the car was a good fit for me. He answered all of my questions, making me confident in my purchasing decision. A test drive was offered, while Craig took pictures of my trade-in and evaluated it. At no point did I feel like I was being "sold." George let me know that Craig had instituted a no-haggle price policy, that he thought was easy and fair to both the customer and the dealership. After discussing pricing, I was confident that I was walking out with a fair transaction - both the new car purchase and the trade-in experience. Eric Lendrum in finance, was filling in for a colleague on vacation. Because he was the only finance person in the office on a Saturday afternoon, he was very busy during the time I was at the showroom, and I did have to wait for him to finish up with previous customers. I used this extended wait time to empty out my old car to transfer into the new. During my interaction with Eric, he was friendly, knowledgable, and made sure that everything was explained well. I appreciated his thoroughness, and efficiency with the paperwork processing. He facilitated the process in securing the loan from my bank, and I left that evening with my new "baby". Besides the wait time (not really anyone's fault), the entire car buying process was made as painless as possible, and I dare say, actually enjoyable. I would HIGHLY recommend Herb Gordon Volvo, and the team of George, Craig and Eric, to any of my friends, family or colleagues, and I wouldn't hesitate to return for a future purchase. More

Took prodding persistently for them to touch up and refused to provide touch up paint on request given the issue without charging. Didn't notice the 2nd scratch under door handle on rear pass door til days later. Took 5 hours to process and get car even though no financing required! Couldn't answer specific questions re: add on warranty, nothing in writing to say coverage of maint. agreement. Would absolutely recommend this dealership though - very personable : ) More
Worked with Jim Boratenski to buy a used Acura TSX. Conducted initial inquiry over phone and email, some delays due to car's inspection status, not his fault. Good communication. Took the train up and Jim picked me up at the Metro station, took me for a test drive and then we worked out a mutually agreeable deal. My experience with Herb Gordon was Class A from the beginning. Stephen Haywood was very patience and friendly even when asking him a billion questions. He took the time to answer my questions or find beginning. Stephen Haywood was very patience and friendly even when asking him a billion questions. He took the time to answer my questions or find the answer even on the most nit-picky questions. Brian Liddiard was helpful from the word "go". He walked me through the process and made me feel completely at ease. And Ed Sarecky got me more than what I was looking for in my automobile. This dealership is the paragon of excellence and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a Volvo. More
John was extremely capable. He not only knows the Volvo product extremely well, he's got great background on the automotive market in general--history, different models, etc. It was a pleasure dealing with product extremely well, he's got great background on the automotive market in general--history, different models, etc. It was a pleasure dealing with someone who knew the product so well. We bough a 2012 S60, and a car of this caliber sells itself, so the lack of a "hard sell" was extremely appreciated. I would recommend John (already have, in fact) to anyone in the market for a new car. More
I have worked with Orlando Rosado. I have been looking for a specific make/model and he has been wonderful, patient and friendly. He follows up promptly and is always courteous and professional. As a long time Volvo driver I was not in any big hurry to replace my aging S70. So I had been taking my time weighing the various options. Jim was patient and helpful throughout the entire process. After see replace my aging S70. So I had been taking my time weighing the various options. Jim was patient and helpful throughout the entire process. After seeing a car on the lot I was interested in he allowed me to borrow it for a day, which helped with my decision immensely. Even better, when it came time to negotiate a purchase, Jim started with a price that was lower than competitive bids I had received elsewhere. A day later, the car was mine and I couldn't be happier. Jim understood where I was coming from and made the whole process straightforward and enjoyable. More
I spent over a week on the phone, working on a deal for a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. I had been looking for a month, and had 3 DIFFERENT dealers pull the old "bait and switch" where they said they had it, then 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. I had been looking for a month, and had 3 DIFFERENT dealers pull the old "bait and switch" where they said they had it, then later, it was suddenly gone. This all changed when I spoke with Neal Hyman, who physically got up from his desk, and went and "put his hands on the car" to quote him. After a few days of negotiating, we came to an agreement, and we drove over 4 hours to get this car. 4 nervous hours that our problems with OTHER dealers would be repeated. Throughout, Neal was courteous, respectful, and most importantly, if Neal told me he was going to check on something, and call me back, HE CALLED ME BACK. Everyday, for a week, Neal called me back with answers to my questions. Neal has been in the business for 26 years, and he knows what he's doing. Unassuming, not pushy, just a nice down to earth guy, who made us as comfortable as possible. When you're draining your bank account to pay cash for a car, it's intimidating. But Neal, and business manager Dave Nelson made it as painless as it could be. I would work with these guys again. This dealership was beyond busy, and we had to wait a little longer than I had hoped to finish this deal, but overall, a very positive experience. The best part was working with Neal. Price was right too! More
