I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy new or used. I showed up on a Friday night at 7 pm. Jim worked with me through advantages of new vs. used and what showed me whatever I wanted to see on the lot. After a test drive, sifting through options and paperwork, I drove a new C30 off the lot at 11 pm; 2 hours after closing. It was a low pressure, enjoyable experience. Having been to other dealerships in looking for a car, I was expecting an intimidating, high-pressure experience. I was very pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend working with Jim and Herb Gordon. My wife and I flew from Chicago for a 2007 V70R. The entire process was seamless and fluid, thanks largely to Jim. He gave me all the information I needed, and more: He went out of his way to take extra photos, gathered additional details about the car's optional equipment, warranty, etc. Later that day, Jim and his team were able to hold the car for me, and three days later, my wife and I took a one-way flight to DC. Upon meeting Jim, I knew we had a deal. He's honest, sincere and extremely helpful. Three hours later, the car was mine. Overall, the experience was outstanding. I had never bought a car from out of state before this, and I was rather apprehensive in the beginning, unsure about the risk and what might happen. But Jim gave me the confidence and I've been very happy with the car! More

She did not have the vehicle I was interested in, so she promised to search for one and follow-up with me. Each day, she would call to give me status. There was no sales pressure from her. Unfortunately, I could not buy the vehicle I was interested in because of some extenuated circumstances with my current vehicle, but I was so impressed with her professionalism and excellent customer service, that I will certainly come to Herb Gordon for my next vehicle and would certainly recommend her and your dealership to family and friends. Very friendly dealership, the receptionist was attentive and found someone to help me right away. I was offered a very fair price for my trade, and the new car price is dealer invoice less a specific amount depending on the model. I think I might have gotten a better price if I wanted to go to another dealer and go through that whole ridiculous negotiation skit, but this dealer doesn't sell that way (which I like!). The business process following the sale (let's call it the paperwork and selling of extras like an extended warranty) was very pleasant and efficient. The business person I worked with was Bryan Liddiard. He took all the time I wanted to go over all the paperwork and was both professional and friendly. I will definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a new Volvo. More
