Not a good option for buying remotely Purchased a car remotely from this dealership as there weren’t any S90’s locally that had the options and color I was looking for. All communication was done over the phone and his attitude towards me improved greatly once I told him I was going to purchase the car. The last 2 cars I have purchased CPO have needed a break job immediately after purchase. Since the dealers were local they took care of it in their facility, being that this dealer is 400 miles away I was worried that I would get stuck with a 1400 break job. The salesman and the used car manager Joe assured me that they were a reputable dealership and the breaks would be in good order. The car was shipped to my house and I had to wait for the plates to arrive, once they did I took the car to my local Bobby Rahal Volvo to have it inspected so I could put the PA plates on the car. They told me the car needed rear brakes and rotors but everything else was in good order. I contacted my salesman and it took two weeks to get a response from the management. Joe informed me that my local dealer was just trying to up sell me on the rotors and they were most likely fine if I wasn’t feeling pulsing and that they were willing to pay for the brake pads. The total estimate from the Volvo dealer was $702 but Joe offered to send a check for $250 for the brakes. I reluctantly agreed as I am busy and didn’t feel like fighting over a few hundred dollars with a dealer so far from my home. The check never showed up, a week later I called to inquire about it and Joe informed me that he called and left me a VM stating that I had to provide them with a paid invoice for the completed work. I NEVER received a message from him about this. Not in my missed calls or stored in my VM box. I told him to keep the $250 as I was tired of playing all these games. In the end, the one item I was concerned about and asked several times to make sure would not be an issue is the one thing they failed on. I will have to pay the $702 for brakes myself for a CPO car I just spent $35K on. More
Since it was a emergency issue, Sean was very proactive in getting me a loaner immediately, which slowed the car to be fixed in a timely fashion. He is a born salesman, courteous, tactful, and ready to listen to a client in order to understand what the client wants and then focus on getting exactly what the client was looking for. Mark has a unique gift to be helpful without crossing a delicate line between providing help and exerting pressure. All our questions were answered, all drive test were immediately arranged for. Eventually he helped us to make the right decision and made an acceptable offer. We are grateful to Mark for his most excellent service. Sean Trembly, service representative was very knowledgeable and supportive when we brought our newly leased car to calibrate blind spot sensors. The problem have been resolved within one hour, everybody around was friendly and cheerful. Very good dealership! More
